And yes, I'm not posting my GamerTag here, because I don't want people I don't care about asking for my friendship, and I don't want to spend time explaining why I feel it is pathetic to sport a nickname boasting your supposed prowess.

Anyway, the only game I'd be probably playing online is Forza Motorsport 3, but I already saw no one here seems to have it.
I have Forza Motorsport 3.....add me if you want. I don't play online with the game other then the storefront/auction house. I love the game by the way. It's easily the best racing game I have ever played.

To be fair to him, maybe he only wants to play against other people from his country as they might have similar interests/lingo/dialects. Or there could be other factors.

For example, I know people who don't like playing against people from the USA (particularly teenagers) due to the penchant for them to constantly use childish homosexual slurs which to some of us outside the US simply means "you sir are a cigarette".

Nice, I sent you the request.

As far as console racers are considered, I also think Forza 3 is one of the best examples of simulations (the original TOCA on PS1 though, is probably my number 1: unmatched AI and a number of cars on track that was unbelievable...I don't remember how many, but they were a lot!), and the physics is top notch.

Anyways, I don't have a wheel, so I'm not as good as I think I could be. I'm not a hardcore driver, but I played lots of PC simulations (with a wheel) and I feel I have some experience in racing in general; I mean, I have the feeling I can pose a serious challenge to the average player : P

Can you still give the Forza cars paint and sticker jobs in 3?
And what is the racing like more sim or arcade? Street tracks or circuit tracks?

I've been thinking of getting the game, and knowing other people have it around here kinda makes me want it all the more.

You can also gift cars to friends, so yes.

There are several driving aides you can turn on, to make it a lot easier to drive a car (so far that there's also an auto-braking feature!), but the model is definitely towards the simulation.

With all aides off (that's how I play) it really feels like a proper simulation and I don't see any reasons why it shouldn't have been so.
(for the critics, I played and loved GPL and NASCAR4 among others)

The tracks are always racing tracks, but they span a wide range of "types".
The city track(s?) for instance are arranged as a racing event (think of how Montecarlo gets arranged for GPs); then there are also 3 extremely long circuits: The Nordschleife, the rally of Positano, and a fictional track (ideal for drifting) set in Japan.
All other tracks are regular circuits, both real (most of them) and some fictional. By the way the total number of tracks layouts probably exceeds 100.

Fair enough, but with him it was more about the way he has presented himself while on the forum. I'm not trying to lead a which hunt against this guy but he gets under my skin. Just the way he brags about being an actor but then at the same time pretends to be this modest guy. I can understand if you have limited space for additional friends and you can't afford to give away a slot for a friend to someone you never see yourself playing with or conversing with. For me, I add almost anyone that I communicated with and wants to add me because I have the space. I may never play with them but it's fun to see what others with similar interest are doing.

Tell your friends that not every American teenager is a jerk.

I accepted you friend request, cool. I'm jealous of your "Drift Lap" achievement. I can not seem to master drifting in this game. I turned the assist off to make drifting easier but it doesn't seem to help me enough to unlock the achievement.

I'll admit that I have not played Forza for a couple of weeks because of Call of Duty but it really doesn't matter. I'm not very good at Forza but I love playing it. I still race my single player races with some assist turned on.

: P
It took me some weeks of dedicated racing and in the beginning I had some problems, too.
I chose the car which I could control the best while drifting, tuned it just a bit to have its rear be more slippery, and made some billions of laps on Fujimi Kaido until I finally hit 100.000 pts.

I did it on a Peugeot 207 Super 2000 (which the game gifts to you at some point). It's a not very powerful 4WD, so it is amazingly controllable and it's short, so you have more room to do mistakes.
The only modification I made was putting racing tyres, and balabcing the differential setup to, as I said, have a "happy" rear.

I still find the friends list on the 360 kind of hard to sort/organize/keep track of. I usually just look to see who's online at any given time.

I'm going to go through this list sometime, maybe tonight, and add the people I've missed, and maybe do a roll-call to see who's still active etc. I know, for example, that PR doesn't have Gold anymore.

My Xbox Live Gamertag is - DCrean89

Although my 360 is rarely online, I am still happy to accept friend requests from people I recognize on here.

Already sent a request to Jogurt.

I'm more concerned about increasingly well-populated leaderboards. I'll be including you in the Super Meat Boy leaderboards here once you start logging times (and Vic, once he gets the game).
