Dash Text: [ESRB: E (EVERYONE) Fantasy Violence] Single Player, Live Multiplayer 1-2, Local Multiplayer 1-2, HD (High Definition). To commemorate their defeat of the Syndicate exactly one year before, Blaze, Adam and Axel went out to celebrate. The next morning, however, Axel received a frantic phone call from Adam's younger brother, Eddie 'Skate' Hunter. Blaze and Axel rushed over and found Adam and Skate's house wrecked and a picture of Adam chained to a wall at the feet of Mr. X. The city was returned to its nightmarish state and criminals were once again running rampant. Unable to contact their old friend in artillery, Axel and Blaze team up with Skate and Max Thunder to free the city and rescue Adam from the Syndicate. It is up to you to take down Mr. X once and for all!.

Just curious to know how many XBLA titles you boys got. Right now I'm sitting at around 24... the majority useless wastes of money though. There are maybe a few that are must-buys, the rest are hot garbage.

Not a fan of it on the 360. Whenever I hold "down", my blocks move down and to the left. That game needs a proper D-PAD IMO. Tried SOR 2 as well, and it also needs a proper D-PAD. The buttons weren't as responsive either.

Bless the VC

I'm, at about 35, with about another 5 that I want.

IF I had a 360, these are the XBLA games I would have; no doubt:

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Super Puzzle Fighter
Geometry Wars
Totem Ball
Catan
TMNT Arcade
Prince of Persia Classic
Band of Bugs

Though, due to its odd control scheme, I don't plan on getting one soon...

Totem? It's atrocious. Truly horrible.

Have you played it before?

Yep, a Puzzle demo hit the U.S PSN and it plays much better. So when it hits in the U'K's PSN I'll get it. No gamer points, but better gameplay and a cheaper price make up for it IMO.

Can't you use the 360's D-pad for LA games then? Or is it just a spongy, unresponsive bit of plastic like the one on the first X-Box and thus no good for retro titles?

MS seem to be finding it hard though.

360 is only needing a good D-PAD to be perfect.

But you push right, and it thinks you want down. SFII is a frickan nightmare.

Oops, forgot to add "pad" after "360".

Trust me, keep the D-PAD.

Because the 4 X-BOX games have been canny, but nowt in comparison to the greats that they done on the 64.

I cant get my 360 online. I dont have a long enough ethernet cable and no wireless internet. Unless someone knows a way to connect it through the Nintendo WiFi USB? Thats what i use for my Wii but its very exclusive to work with nintendo consoles only.

If i did have XBLA i would probably get Sonic 1&2 just for the achievements and online leaderboards and for sonic 2 of course the online .

I have a 360 and I like XBLA but it's not as good as the VC if your a purist. I mean Streets of Rage 2 HD? Sega Vintage Menu? That's not the way I played it! Saying that I did buy it and it's great

VC all the way though.

I just got my 360 in early September, and I don't own a single XBLA game. Any recommendations dudes? I was thinking aboot the Turtles but I'm probably just gonna wait for Turtles in Time to go on VC. The same goes with Tetris. I'm a huge Tetris guy, but I'm waiting for some Tetris on the VC for nostalgia and a good control scheme.

So what should I go for? I'm not a fan of Castlevania at all. Everything else looks lame.

Geometry Wars! Actually the trial games are free, so you can test lots before deciding what to spend your points on.

Yeah, I've been testing like crazy and still nothing that I'm committed to buying. I've heard a lot of buzz about Geometry Wars back when it first came out, but my friend said it sucked and we kinda have the same taste in games.

I'll dl the trial for it and see for myself.

I downloaded the Demo, but it feels to me as if it has slowdowns, I then compared it with the Version on Metal Slug Anthology for Wii, and if you already have that, I recommend to not download it on XBLA.

XBLA has been absolutely spoiled the last few months putting Wiiware/PSN's additions in the same timeframe to shame.

Sonic and knuckles was added today and provided you own Sonic 1 -3 XBLA it has a bonus content section that has:

Sonic 3 & Knuckles (only the best sonic game ever!)
Knuckles in Sonic 2
Blue Sphere

Warning/Attention: It will not unlock any Sonic 2, Sonic 3 or Sonic + Knuckles achievements if you play through these bonus content modes. Also it does not continue your sonic 3 save if you select Sonic 3 + knuckles from the bonus content section it starts at the beginning of Sonic 3.

The achievements for Sonic & knuckles have to be unlocked in the normal game on it's own unfortunately. Most of them can be got in the first 30 minutes, the rest require finishing the game once as each character and getting all Emeralds
