| Do you like my helmet? | Fun! Fun! Minigolf: 8/10 This game has a lot going for it, but a couple of annoying negatives that bring the score down a bit. First, on the pro side, the graphics are great, the announcer's voice acting it good and non-intrusive, and the music is atmospheric but not overly loud or annoying (and can be turned off in the options). So the presentation is wonderful. The controls are well-implemented, tight, and responsive. Everything behaves like you'd expect it to. That brings us to design. There are three difficulty levels, each with nine holes. The holes are designed pretty well, with a few creative twists and turns and some obstacles here and there. The main problem I have is with some of the minigolf rules, believe it or not. The difficulty of the game doesn't come from the complexity of the course, at least not directly. The difficulty comes from the demanding "out of bounds" rules that stipulate that you must get the ball on the "green" (inside a white outlined area) on your first shot. This results in a lot of trial and error while you learn the courses, as you can't just chip your way through the obstacles. You'll hear "out of bounds" and start back at the beginning of a hole quite a bit until you get the hang of it. So the real way you lose strokes, even after learning the holes, is by screwing up the angles. I'm sure this is real minigolf rules, but it kind of takes away from the Fun! Fun! experience of the game if you have to keep putting from the tee until you can make the green in one shot. It can be especially frustrating for casual players or people who just aren't good at this kind of game, as they have to keep restarting without making even basic progress until they either get it right or mercy out (triple bogey). It's not enough to make it a bad game by any means, but it does mean it's not perfect. I would have liked to see a few more creative obstacles rather than just angles, ramps, and blocks. Giant clown faces or lighthouses would have been nice. A final note for those considering buying the game: this is a quick, pick-up-and-go experience. Despite what I said above, it doesn't take long to clear 9 holes. There's little in the way of preamble or ending. Choose your players, choose your course, and you're off to the races. That means this is a game you're not going to want to play a whole lot of single-player (because you'll get tired of it very quickly), but it also means that when you do play multi-player, you're going to become familiar with the 27 holes pretty quickly. |

attractive price low block size nice presentation (I have no problems with the colours and/or hues) good controls (as well as the option to choose IR or "held-sideways") addictive gameplay unlockable modes to increase replayability/ prolong shelf-life awesome soundtrack (I love how the music changes with each colour) ... I can't find anything wrong with it, thus it warrants a 10. -m. // | |

| Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King Brought back faith into the FF series. Kept me hooked for about 80 hours (without any additional content). I've beaten it two times (on normal and hard). I like how to manage the town and make it the best possible. It's a unique twist on all those city-build-sims. In the end it's getting a bit repetitive, because you have no space to build upon and you just let the days pass until your characters are leveld up enough to beat the level 100 stages. Still I think the add-on content is a rip-off with costumes for 100 wii points and the like. That's bonus stuff you should get for free when beating the game. Anyway, the 1.500 wii points are worth the many hours you spend on it. 8/10 My Aquarium It's not as good as Fish Tycoon (DS) or Endless Ocean (Wii) but way better than Fantasy/Aquarium by DS (DS). In the beginning you can make 6 different aquariums with 12 different types of fish. every week you get 1 or 2 additional new type of fish. they can be fed and you can knock on the glass. theres not much variety in plants and other aquarium items. theres not much variety at all. it gets boring fast. i only load it up once a week to get a new fish and i'm gonna delete it when there's nothing more to come. the only good side is, there are more than 40 types of fish to unlock. they look good but act boring. the fish dance is dumb but the great range of classic music is good. For 500 Wii Points it's just ok. 4/10 MaBoShi 3 mini-games that are too repetitive and boring to hold up very long. absolute casual game. good thing is the 3-player- and replay-save-mode where you can interact with each other though. but this idea would have been better in a good game. 800 Wii Points... i was blended by curiosity the game came with but after playing it a few days i put it down in favor of so many better games. 2/10 |

| I only have 3 wiiware games and two of them suck pretty hard. Defend Your Castle: 5/10 It just gets to the point where you don't even have to do anything. And before that you're constantly rubbing your wrist because this damn game gives you carpel tunnel Gyrostarr: 4/10 The only really fun parts are the bonus levels, due to the amount of speed. The rest of the game is just far to repetitive. And whats the point of that two person charge shot thing? It would only help if there was actually a fackin boss! WHAT THE HELL KINDA SHMUP DOESN'T HAVE A GOD DAMNED BOSS! Bomberman Blast: 8/10 A really fun game. Really no need to explain how it works as most of you probably know. The online is basically the same as Brawls, with the taunting controlling comments on friend mode. There are quite alot of modes as well, so you always have something to do. Along with interactive stages this game really is one to buy ... if you like bomberman that is. |

| Rip Van Fish | Strong Bad Episode 5: 8-Bit Is Enough 9/10 A wonderful conclusion to (the first season of?) the SBCG4AP games. Not only does it offer a hilarious storyline and awesome final boss (^^), but there are so many inside references that anyone familiar with the H*R universe should download it. Right up there with Dangeresque 3 for me. |

| // Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King (8/10) Starts off painfully slow but once you get a range of fighters and buildings and the battles require some degree of strategy, it becomes a lot more interesting and impossible to put down. I really liked how you get your report after sunset/ saving- very cunning as it meant whenever I wanted to finish, I would end up playing one more day to tie up any loose ends... a process which would repeat for up to 3 hours! Oh, and this was my first ever sim, so I think for most people it should serve as a good introduction the genre... maybe. Lostwinds (7/10) Absolutely fantastic presentation- some of the finest graphics to date (the attention to detail, which meant even the backgrounds responded appropriately to wind movements, was staggering), lovely soundtrack and very good/responsive controls. Unfortunately, the gameplay did not deliver as well - 30 minutes of walking left and right and/or flying up and drifting down was enough for me. Coupled with the idiot-proof puzzles and enemies that provide little or no challenge, the game just dragged after that first magical half hour. Really only recommended for the effort gone into its delivery and to those with disposable Wii Points. -m. // |

| Pop - 9/10 A lot of people will probably think I've overrated Pop, but I just think it's a great game to just jump in and play. I think it's very fun and done what it aimed to do very well. World of Goo - 10/10 This is my favourite game and everything I can say has probably been said many times before. I'll just finish by saying: "This is World of Goo. Enough said." Pop Them, Drop Them SAMEGAME - 7.5/10 This is a very good game for 500 points. It does have flaws (such as lack of online scoreboard) but you can't really complain at this point. A good purchase. Onslaught - 8.5/10 I haven't played on this too much, but from what I have played its a solid FPS that, although it lacks some things, was well worth buying. Bomberman Blast - 9/10 At first, I didn't think Bomberman Blast was anything special (since I'd already played quite a few games of the series) but when I played online, that changed. Online it's a very fast, hectic, fun game that alone makes this worth the 1000 points. |

| Here's my ratings on the WiiWare games that I own: Groovin' Blocks = 5 / 10. - Innovative puzzle game where you have to play in tune with the music. LIT = 7 / 10. - Puzzle game lovers looking for a challenge will love this game. Mega Man 9 = 8 / 10. - I would've scored it higher if I didn't suck so much at it! ^^;; Tetris Party = 8 / 10. - An must title for anybody who loves Tetris! |
