By the looks of the predictions, no-one was expecting Home Sweet Home this early! At least this, along with Tetris (forget the Incredible Maze), made it here! It's too bad we'll have to wait 'til November 7 to get Strong Bad 3

Another disappointing week. We are still 11 games behind NA. The only good news is Home Sweet Home. If it scores higher than a 7 I'll probably get it, but the 1000 points concern me.

At least this update was better than last's

I agree. If Home Sweet Home achieves a decent score, I'll purchase it

True, it was definitely an improvement.

Here are my predictions for November 7 (I will most likely change them later):

Alien Crush Returns (Hudson)
Fun! Fun! Minigolf (Shin'en Multimedia)
Strong Bad Episode 3 - Baddest of the Bands (Telltale Games)

It's good to see that we have a frequent contributor to this thread
Speaking of contributing, I'm gonna update my predictions.

EDIT

I've updated the rules (again)

Here are the changes:

- You may not post press releases, but you may help each other out
- The prediction and editing deadlines are now merged.

Is there a reason that you keep calling all Europeans French? I've read it at least 10 times in your posts.

Yes. This site, VC-R, and WWW all ignorantly / sloppily refer to all of North America as the "US". By calling everyone in Europe "French" I'm showing how absurd a lazy conflation like that truly is. It's very easy to change a two letter abbreviation in a drop-down menu into another, more appropriate two-letter abbreviation.

Anyway, my predictions for this time around:

Alien Crush
Strong Bad

I think it's because no staff live in Canada, and to be safe they are only including release etc. that they are confident with, in case the Canadian releases differ to that of the US. Other than that, I agree with you, but you don't need to call us French to prove a point.

And I think I'll start integrating predictions into the main post

I knew it had something to do with that. I did the same thing, unconscious, not long ago. I'm not offended that you call us French, though. If it makes you feel better, then go ahead.

That's a terrible reason, especially for a site with international readership.

Canada and the USA get the same games every single week.

To be fair, I started out by saying "France and Australia", but just France is shorter. Désolé, mon ami, mais c'est la vie.

It doesn't make me feel better, and my point isn't to offend (of course). It's just to show how silly it is to conflate one nation state within a region with the region itself.

Added the "Possible Release Candidates" List, for an easy-to-access list for the games eligible for prediction

If anyone has any comments or ideas, or would like to report any errors (spelling and grammar, incorrect or out-of-date information etc), please either post here or PM me

Holy...Are you trying to make a site like WiiWare-World in one post? You shouldn't add any more things now.

Yeah, I think I've gone a little overboard, but I'm not going to add anything else unless I think it is of the utmost importance

EDIT

Removed Update Log
I think I'll leave the thread as is atm

Updated releases for the 7/11, added some other little tidbits and updated the Possible Release Candidates

I am honestly devastated. Not only did Strong Bad 3 skip last update, 3 weeks after the US, but now we have to wait until the 19th for it! Where is it? I'm losing my patience...

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but:

Snooker vs Billiards Cue Sports
Release date: End Nov 2008 (Europe)

On the 7th Nov update, Alien Crush Returns was released, published by HUDSON. Publishers aren't permitted to release games until four weeks (two updates) are done. My guess is that it'll be released after this update

Is that only the case with WiiWare? Because Hudson and a few other publishers didn't follow that rule with the weekly VC updates.

It's only with WiiWare, so publishers don't put out dozens of crappy games a month VC doesn't count with this rule. And Nintendo isn't involved with it; they can release however many games they like

Explain? Either it's a joke I don't get, or it's not appearing on WiiWare *yet*

It looks like an amazing four games were released today, a first in the world of WiiWare! Because of this, I had to add the 'Four Releases' prediction point distribution section. And sorry, Yasume, there must have been an exception with Hudson's releases.

Anyone willing to predict again?

PS: Sorry, I've altered the rules again. Please do not edit your posts; instead, create a new post with your changes. For example...

+ LostWinds
- Toki Tori
