Lostwinds Best times

Submit your best completion times of the popular Wiiware game, Lostwinds! I'll be keeping track of all your times, and feel free to post updates on your time should you break your own record. I'll also be keeping track of who has the best time. I'll also be keeping track of the number of people who got so-and-so a time, simply because I like to add a lot of unnecessary on myself :P

Oh, and Objection_Blaster, since you pretty much gave me the idea, and because you put in extra work, I'll post you're other times, at least until I need the space, or s***ton of people start doing it.

Interesting thread idea! I don't have the game, myself, but I'll be very interested in seeing the best times of some of our more devoted LostWinds players.

3 hours 1 minute. That was my completion time and I've only played it once. I don't think the game's clock remembers how long you've played if you die and continue so these times will be longer in real time.

Was about 3 hours for me aswell, but I won't speedrun this since I think it's too good of a game to play too much. Don't sound logical, but I want to keep the magical feeling.

I did it in 2:57 (Sorry, but I can't get proof). I sooo wish it lasted me longer, though. I wasn't even trying to speedrun it AND I got lost for about 20-30 mins halfway through.

Plus, if you look at the Nintendo Channel data for it at the moment, it does say that the average playing time is 3 hours (in EU at least).

At least we're getting a sequel.

I won't speedrun either, it's a game that needs to be taken slowly and enjoyed.

3 hours was the right length for this game, some people complained about the length but any longer and I think it would have lost something. Some games are just meant to be short and at 1000 Wii points the price was in proportion.

Indeed, since most games today are under 10 hours and are priced for 6500 Wii Points if you compare them

I think it's like the same with Ico, the game isn't longer than 6-7 hours but are worth a whole lot more.

Well, I figured I might as well update today.

You don't have to speed-run it if you don't want to, just tell me your time and I'll tally. I can assure you that my time wasn't a speedrun. Once I hear more about Lostwinds 2 though, I'll definitely be speedrunning the original - speedrunning it right into the Ground.

If it makes you feel any better, I had gotten the idea for this thread because people started posting their times in the Lostwinds and Lostwinds 2 gamepages, and somebody said they wish there was a thread for people to post their times. And now there is!

You have a 2-3 hours category and a 3-4 hours category... You also have someone with 2:57 in the 2-3 hours category and someone with 3:01 in the 3-4 hours category, but there is someone with exactly 3 hours who apparently fits into both categories but hasn't been tallied into either. Urgh?

I think it was 3:10 or something, as I said I can't really remember and I've currently deleted it from the Wii to prevent over-use.

1- 3 hr Exact
2- 1 hr 37 min
3- 1 hr 15 min*** MY CURRENT BEST TIME***

Times were taken from last save point (right before the boss)

Okay, updated. Would you believe I forgot my own time? :P Oh, and Objection_Blaster, I decided to post all three of your times, just for the hell of it.

^^And like I said at the wiiware-wolrd page, these are the times as seen on the main menu saving right before the boss at the end of the game (since you can't save after the boss. So techinically, you'd add 5 minutes or so to them for total completion time.
