After seeing DEMONS review of it, I'm oddly interested in this game, maybe it's not as bad as i thought it'd be.

This game is worth 2000 points! I tweaked the options back to NES type settings and just played the night away in regular old NES mode. Endless, endless fun. Best falling block puzzler out there, Tetris included. And I haven't even gone online to play my fam yet!

Sad to say, I m already bored of it. T.T It just seems lacking in the offline single player.

And I suck at the online mode. T.T Off to the SD Card it goes...

I played one random online match yesterday and that was probably my last random online match. Back to single-player excitement for me!

Just like Radretrogamer, I suck at it and also got my assed kicked by a girl. But I'm still loving it all the same. I like both classic and Virus Buster, they're both equally great. But after playing Virus Buster, I feel like Classic mode looks too small. As for Online, I played against Jogurt a few times, it was fun and lag free. But the thing I dislike about random matches, is that you can't pick the difficulty, it just automatically makes you play on level four with the pills droping down at a medium speed. But I'm a big NOOB at Dr. Mario, and I like the pills to go down at a slow speed, so I can have some thinking time. That's really the only flaw. As for the flash mode, I don't really mind it, it's basicly two player classic mode.

Online is always level 4? That's not high enough. Online in this is almost as bad as it is in Mario Kart.

are you serious?
i thought Mario Kart was the best online game Nintendo has ever developed.
and i think Dr. Mario is pretty good too, considering its ranking system, and how quick and easy it is to get into a game.

sure, different levels would be nice, but i think Dr. Mario offers a challenging online experience as is.

Can anyone else try an online match against random peopel? I think the difficulty might be set to your skill level.

anyways this game is loads of fun. I played a few games of classic mode. It really makes you work for your win. you have to think really fast on where each pill should go. It's lots of fun, my average time to beat a puzzle is about 8 minutes, so it's a good time waster. But I spent most of my day playing Virus Buster. Just because of the fact that it's co-op. My 5 year old cousin came over today, and I really diddn't feel like playing Mario Kart 64, so I decided to show him some wiiware. First just because I really wanted to play LostWinds, we played some lostwinds co-op. Although he couldn't really figure out how to to use the wind so he just kept pressing A, which got really anooying because I was practically stuck in slow motion for the whole time we played it. Later on we tried it so that he moves Toku and I do the wind. That worked a bit better, but he doesn't like to go the way I want to go, and he doesn't really notice some of the key adventuing points, so we left that. Then we tried pop, I didn't kniw hwo he'd like that with his bad accuracy and his over egerness. So first we tried chill mode, which got really boring because there's no items, no points or anything. o we left that after a bit. then we tried training, which was better because there's items and points, but you can only do one level, so I got bored of that. He really liked normal mode, he liked using the items and popping and such, but since he's only five, I don't try my best, so then he keeps missing everything, causing the game to stop after ten seconds. So we moved on.

Dr. Mario was just right. He loves doing things with me, not against me. So we worked together in co-op. I would tell him where to place the blocks, by pointing in a place, then helping with the harder areas. or course he wanted to go fast so he missplaced a some blocks more than a few times. But he still has fun, and we always ended up winning. until we tried the hardest difficulty and got owned. But after playing Virus Buster for a bit. I wish it was online. It's not much different from classic mode, so there's no reason that Virus Buster couldn't be online. And since you have to see what your opponent is doing, Nintendo could have just gotten ride of the miis chasing the Viruses, and inputed a smaller screen showing what your opponent was doing.

Yeah. They're genetically coded to be good at Dr. Mario. I got my first online loss to a girl.

I beat level 5 classic mode on normal and it said congradulations, you made it to level 5. What's that supposed to mean, did they think I'd never be able to make it to level 5?

They like to mark the milestones with cute Dr. Mario animations. The end credits are hilarious, with your Miis flying around in space.

I guess that explains why in classic mode when I score very well, Mario goes to the very front of the screen and starts doing his little dance.

random comment.....I dont like to play Dr.Mario online. The connection is really great, I just prefer to play single player. I don't like how if you get combos you can throw random blocks on your opponents.

I don't like playing it against random people, but against people I know it's not too bad. When you're against random people, you only have a few stock phrases for communication, so it makes the experience kind of stale (and people are competitive about their rankings). But against friends you can chat and your ranking isn't affected.

Well, depending on how well you know the person there are always MSN, Skype, phone, or in-person chatting options as well.

I'm not bad at Dr. Mario, if you encountered a Sibylle online.. that was my Wii Console.

And those little 'milestones' already appeared on the first Dr. Mario game on the NES.
Back then, it was a tree with the three viruses on top. It appearad after LOW Lvl. 20, and MED & HIGH Lvl. 5, 10, 15 and 20. Id didn't appear after 25 in either difficulty.

If you reach level 21 or above on Dr. Mario & Germ Busters, you can try again the level after loosing on LOW and MED, but not on HIGH, don't know why that is. And contrary to the N64 or GC versions, you cannot directly access Lvl. 21 or higher after beating them.

I like not being able to access the higher levels directly, even after beating them, but I don't like not being able to continue in HIGH speed, because at those levels whether you win or lose largely depends on the luck of your start.
