sadly I don't think I'm getting this game anytime soon. The next time I get points I'm getting MLAAK, and defend your castle.

EDIT: YEAH 2000th post!

Would it not be a better idea to play DYC on the internet for free and get LostWinds instead?

I agree. I mean, I hear LostWinds is a brilliant, original game and Defend your Castle is a flash game conversion. I hear its good, but why don't you get LostWinds first?

The overwhelmingly positive reaction to Lost Winds has persuaded me to get it. Can't wait, looks like a lovely little game.

Yeah but MLAAK is 1500 and lost winds is 1000. And they add up to 2500. And I can only afford 2000 points.

MLAAK is 1500 initially, but the buildings you create, the outside dungeons, etc, are more limited if you donīt spend additional wiipoints, though.
I think the "proper" full game is more than 3000 points, which is quite a bit for a Sim City clone in non-tangible form.

For people wondering about the length it's just taken me 3 hours 1 minute on the game's clock to complete. Any longer and I'd be fed up with it, this felt like just the right length of time to enjoy the game because of the type of game it is. There's not much reason to come back after the game is over so don't spend 1000 points if you want something longer.

It's very different, the unique control system works very well and the gameplay here could only work with the Wii controller, which is good to see. Sometimes the slow pace can be frustrating as it takes a long time to do anything, that's just how the game is, the complete opposite of Sonic. When I first started I thought it was too slow to be enjoyable but it does get better once the puzzles start and you get used to it more. It's meant to be a layed-back game.

I'm glad I bought it but I still have mixed feelings about it, there are lots of positives and negatives and a few frustrating moments. Great but flawed. I would definitely buy the sequal (already announced) to see where it goes from here.

It's worth buying for its uniqueness but if you can only afford one WiiWare game I would recommend Toki Tori more than this.

This game is absolutely a must buy, even though it's short playlength. To compare this game with anyone else I would say that this game is really like Ico in many ways.

I enjoyed it from start to finish, the music should always stay the same since the battle music ruins it all

I've been hearing that this is a short game. So what's the replay value like? I tend not to like to replay this kind of game because the puzzles are all solved and it becomes kind of mechanical to just charge through after a while. Similar thing here?

Yes, there's not much reason to go back after you've completed it other than if you really wanted to just play it again. See my previous post.

1st save point in and I really like it. I think it definently warrants a purchase and is really a great launch title for WiiWare.

I'm almost sold on this game. I've seen videos of it and the graphics & gameplay look great, but two things are still bugging me: The very short game length and whether of not I'll want to play it again after I finish it or if I'll just feel like I wasted my money...

Sure, I know the game looks cool, but to me, if its a game you'll only play ONCE that is that really worth the money? I need a game that I'll want to play multiple times...

Lostwinds looks cool, but I'm just not sure if I should get it or not. I'll still considering if I should get Lostwinds eventually or if I should just spend those points on the Race Pack & the Sacred Shrine for My Life As A King...

I got lostwinds today. I'm about two hours in, and it's lots of fun. Of course I can tell i'm still at the very beginning, so It'll be a few more hours till I beat the game. But so far it's doing very well. The graphics are beautyful, the sky has a very mysterious looking sinet with the nice farm type look of the background, and with all of the textures, it's quite the beauty to look at. So far I'm liking the less buttons more waggling thing. I love playing with the wind, you can make practily everything move from the single blast of wind. I'm really liking this game, but I can't see myself playing this game right after I beat it, but I can see me playing it again.

I love this game a lot and I'm looking forward to the next one even tough it only took me 2 hours to beat. I'll play it again to try to get the four statues I missed the first time. LostWinds is well worth the $10.

Cross out what i last said, lost winds doesn't feel like a farm land, it feels more like a forgotten land. the music with the background go together so well that that factor just occured to me.

finished the game in 4 hours and 11 minutes. It's very fun I love it. And although, for a 1000 points, the sequel should come with it, I don't feel ripped off. It's just the right length so that it doesn't get boring and doesn't get repetitive.
