| So I only recently heard about Cave Story and wanted to give it a try so I decided to download the freeware version. I've played it for about 30 minutes and so far it's really good. So I'm wondering: Is it really worth the 1200 wiipoints to have the console version? What's the difference (other than the graphical facelift) and does it warrant a purchase?

| Jumping Piranha Plant | I've never played the freeware version, but from my understanding, that version lacks three modes the Wii version has: Cury Brace Story Mode, Boss Rush Mode, and Sanctuary Time Attack. There are also three difficulty levels in the main Story Mode. Not sure if the original has that. And of course, the controller is a lot easier to play with than a keyboard.

| http://tinycartridge.com/post/469336...acked-up-music I think i'll for this to get patched first before I get this. Not paying 1200 points to encourage lazy testing. I tire of buggy Wiiware games getting released. |

| Well I went ahead and bought it and I am very glad I did. This game is now a favorite! I am on my third playthrough btw and haven't experienced any bugs, what are they supposed to be?

| If you're a fan of Metroid, and you appear to be one, I think that you'll find this game well worth the 1200 points. |

| I have a question. My friend just gifted this game to me and I have never played Cave Story at all, even back when it was PC only. Now that I have the WiiWare version and the PC version is freeware. Would you guys suggest I play the PC version first and then later play the WiiWare version? Or it doesn't really matter because the experience would be the same either way? Because I know sometimes one may grow to appreciate a game more when they see how it was like before the changes. |
