Final Fantasy IV: The After Years: Save Game Export Feature Help

So im completed the main game & right after the credits rolled It askes me to make an export save of some sorts where i may pass on items & stats on to other save games .
The thing is the Game doesn't make it clear what i ment to do .
I loaded up the save file where i apparently ment to go the Cecils throne room just to see the credits again & creat another export file Both via after the credits & via opening the menu .
I teied copying over a copy of the game & nothing happens .

I dont know what to really do even if i just ment to leave the file there ready for later stories do detect or what ?

Just choose to save the file. That's all you have to do. When you look at your load menu, there will be a little crystal on the file that says "completed". You don't have to do anything with it after that (indeed, you can't).

Presumably, when the last episode of the game comes out, it will auto-detect and read all of the various completed save files to populate the characters with stats and items as you left them in the previous episodes.
