They don't need to in my eyes, the WWW review of Plattchen was just horrible in every way possible. Much more agree with IGN on this one and even then I think it's an 8.

Niki was amazing fun and kept me coming back for more and this looks to be even better.

Although I have to admit, I am PUMPED about this game, same as I feel for all Bplus games(proud owner of all of their titles).

I can't help but notice how people flock to Bit Boy!! I'm not here to defend the developers or anything right now, unless someone wishes to bash, but I find it amazing how the current gaming audience will snap up like candy, or at the least, turn attention to anything that seems to be retro. Now I see how this is apparantly a new trend and all, but that guy from Steel Penny games is right, people ONLY like things with a retro feel/style/gameplay.

When this development team INNOVATES a franchise, people will shoot it down within a matter of seconds with instant sayings of "It's random." or "A mess." Have you people even bothered to at least read the instruction manual? If you have and still said no, I'll have to admit, this game isn't for you, and you probably dodged a bullet because this will annoy the crap out of you if you can't grasp the mechanics because they're complex. If you haven't, you're a sheep. A bit hypocritical for me of most to say this, but it fits nevertheless.

Next point, I'm focusing on the attention to Bit Boy!! now. Now, let's say Plattchen and Niki never existed and this was their first project. Wouldn't this game at least provoke at least a LITTLE skepticism in you? More often than not, you'd all be caught in the hype of it all! Why? Let me reiterate my point once more, 'because it's retro, it HAS to be good.' It could be utter shovelware, and I can ASSURE you, it will score no lower than a 4, heck I'm confident, if this game is utter crap, I bet it won't score lower than a 6.

Well my flaming/trolling/*****ing rant is over. Please keep in mind I'm not lumping you all together when I make refrences such as most or you all. Feel free to post any revisions/suggestions you feel neccesary, and some comments to help/hinder/contradict my argument. All input is welcome by me. Thank you for taking your time for reading my message.

I don't think anyone here said anything bad about their other games. Most of us have either not tried them or else are very critical of NintendoLaff's horrible reviews. Cheers.

Regarding some of your other points, remember that you're posting at what is essentially a retro video game community. The Virtual Console is by its very nature a retro service, and if we've been drawn here by that, then it's more likely that we're also going to be interested in and excited by similarly retro offerings (even "new" ones like Bit Boy, Bit.Trip, Mega Man 9, Bubble Bobble Plus, etc.) than entirely new innovative properties (not that we're not interested in those too). Folks are interested in seeing more of Bit Boy because it seems to do interesting new things with the retro "theme". Could be good, especially with the creative minds at BPlus behind it!

Yeah, the retro thing was more aimed at those who believe that retro is the only thing good, and well known franchises is the only exception. Know what I mean? I should of clarified on that. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
