My Aquarium hub thread

If you own My Aquarium, you can send an aquarium to anyone else who owns the software. All you need to do is register each other's Wii Friend Codes. There's a little more to this than the mere ****s and giggles of it; if one person sends another an aquarium with a new fish, that fish then becomes unlocked!

If you're interested in sending or receiving aquariums to or from other VCFers, post here with your Wii code and I'll update this post to include it in the list.

Yeah, I've wound up with most of my aquariums color-themed: yellow, orange, red/blue, and "drab" (a small sized aquarium with 2 black molly, 2 freshwater angelfish, and 2 clown killfish). I've also set up a tank for just for jellyfish and seahorses and another with two of the big fat Asian Arowana's and a bunch of little guppies. I want to see how long it will take before a guppy is eaten. :]

I just got your aquarium and unlocked the Yellow Piranhas! Also Joyo helped me unlocked some Sea Horses! Whee! I also learned how to change my tank size, so now I got a small tank for the tiny fishies.

And thank you so much for your Mii! I love associating people with their Miis and I have sent you mines! And to those who doesn't have a Mii represented will have a scary blank face instead... Speaking of which, Joyo, could you send me your Mii?

I have all you guys added anyway, and I have all the fish except the secret one that can't be acquired by sending/receiving tanks.

Kaiser, I'll get a seahorse tank off to you soon if you don't get one from one of these ladies first (but you'll never get my Mii... never!!!).

I sent off a tank to you, Kaiser. It has the Seahorse and another unlockable fish, so you should get at least one unlocked fish out of it. (I think perhaps only one fish unlocks at a time?)

Nope, not yet. The two Kappa objects and the last fish are all (that the world knows of) that I'm missing. I don't know how to get them either. Right now I'm working on breeding every species of fish. When I'm done with that, I'm going to get a couple of every object in use at the same time in the hopes that that counts towards object unlockage.

I just unlocked both Kappa objects and I have no idea how! I'll send some tanks out to you guys so you can see them if you don't have them already.

That means I only need the Rainbow Rock Fish for completion! (As far as anyone knows, anyway...)

I have this from day 1 and still haven't unlocked the Kappa objects.

I've never changed the clock/date at all.

I've bred 27 of my 48 currently unlocked fish.

This is my 264th day of owning the game.

The objects unlocked on a day that nothing else eventful happened (i.e. no fish bred to push the game past some invisible limit, etc.). The objects were unlocked immediately upon "starting" the game, when it automatically starts you at your first tank screen. I received a message, "A new object was unlocked!" or "You unlocked a new object!" (forget exact wording). I thought I only got one. When I went into the decoration menu, both were there.

For the first 100 days or so, I played every day, just checked in for a few mins to feed the fish and see if I got anything new. Then I went about 100 days or more of only checking every 3-4 days. Now I'm playing every day again to see when my fish have bred.

I have received 18 tanks from friends.

Out of curiosity, are there more than just the 3 tank sizes? Some of the tanks SKTTR sent me look awfully big.

I've only seen the three tank sizes. Did he fill them with small fish and objects?

I sent you an aquarium, too. I don't know if it'll do you any good, but it's one of my favorites. It's a tiny aquarium with tiny fish that all go nuts when you start feeding them! (Which you'll never get to see, since you can't feed friends' tanks ).

Today is Mrs. Y's birthday.

It's also the special date of one of my tanks.

I watched the fishies dance their dance, and after the dance was over, I got this message:

"You have met the conditions for the Rainbow Rock Fish to appear. The Rainbow Rock Fish has been added to your Aqua Centre."

Is it a giant coincidence that today would be the day I unlock the final fish? Or do the special dates have something to do with unlocking it?

I have played for 310 days. I have bred 41 different kinds of fish. I have watched through at least 5 complete "special date" fish dances.

This fish can't be unlocked by having it sent to you, unfortunately, but as soon as I have a free tank I'll send him out to all of you guys so you can see what he looks like at least.
