Default The Recommend a Wii Game Thread

This thread is similar to DEMON212's thread, The VC Recommendation Post. Yes, there are a lot of repeating threads these days, but when I was viewing that thread I felt like we needed one for Wii games. You can use this thread to recommend any Wii, or Wiiware game. Write your own review or anything you feel. Post why you like a game and why others should get it. And don't worry if someone has already posted an opinion on a game, it's always good to have more than one opinion on a game.

Enjoy.

MLB Power Pros. 2008

If you like baseball, AND video games, this is an easy choice.
This game is easily deeper than the Atlantic Ocean. You could play for 500 hundreds hours and you still wouldn't play every mode, try every option, etc.

It has a Life mode, where you live your favorite player's life.
So you buy a house, car, girl. Well you don't buy the girl, but you get my point.
You basically live the ups and downs of any player in baseball.

There's also season modes, create-a-team, home-run derby, exhibition mode, season mode, and a league mode. Basically it has everything else you'd expect from a baseball game and more.

As for controls, music, interface, etc.
You can play with the classic controller, remote & nunchuk, or gamecube controller.
The music is catchy. My only problem, is I wish they kept the music from last year AND had the new music. So I could play both at different times.
The interface and everything is real nice and clean. It just looks like a well polished game.

For me, this is the best game on the Wii, by far.
No game touches this one in terms of depth and replay-ability. If this game had online play, I might just sell everything else and play Power Pros. 24/7.
So if you like baseball, it's a must-have. The gameplay is great, and everything else follows suit.
If you're not a big fan of baseball, give it a try anyway, you might still like the RPG elemnts.

Okami
One of the best games on the Wii, with it's 40-50 hours playtime from start to finish it's a really long one too. The only good way to describe this game is saying that it is an "Zelda-game", but don't take it as a clone, even though it's similar it's also better in many ways. Graphics and sound are stunning the entire game and controls are great except for some minor errors while using your Celestial Brush were the game might not recognize what you're trying to do.

Geometry Wars Galaxies
Arcade action at its best! You might have played the 360 version (Retro Evolved) and though "meh" but this one have a lot of different stages and a helpful drone that you can assign to various commands. The WiiMote's "point-and-shoot" is also great, but if you don't want to use the WiiMote you can always connect a Classic Controller.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
One of a few First-Person Shooters on the Wii, but with a Metroid feeling which is completely different than the average shooter today. This must be the game on the Wii that has the best controls with a great margin, never once in the game I've felt that they were bad. If you've played the former Metroid games you will notice a bit different story lineup since there are actually people that talk here, a bit more like Halo when it comes to storytelling. Although, don't see this as a bad thing since another Metroid Prime without a story at all would be pretty...disappointing. Instead Corruption evolves the universe of Metroid and putting a story to what Samus' been doing the last 25 years (our time). A troughfully great game, a must buy.
