Mario Kart Wii Time Trials leader boards

I just wanted to set up a leader board for the time trials for easy and quick reference instead of looking all over the MK channel, or some people that don't have the game might want to check out the times.

I will edit this post sometime today and tomorrow, I will be using my MK channel so if you want to post a time I will need to have you added to my friends list to verify the time. please dont forget to tell me the name you're using if that hasn't been done in the main MK thread.

I am currently the leader on some tracks and Twincross is leading most of them from what I am seeing right now. I will see who has the best time in the most tracks. maybe this could be a good source of seeding for any future tournaments that might have more than 12 players (split in 4 and put top group with the 3rd group and 2nd group with the bottom group) I am definitely hoping for a huge tournament (I am willing to donate wii points to make this happen)

Mmmmh, guess you didn't check after adding me to your friends!
Watch out for Tull and Sektor, too (though if I remember that other post of yours.....Sektor still waiting for your Rainbow road replay!!).

after checking your times against the times i see on MK Channel, youre the leader on 4 tracks. Twincross and I own most of the tracks, you seem to come in third... I havent done all the tracks yet because my wife's tolerance of me playing video games has gone down lately. and My right index finger is in quite a bit of pain from playing too much MK DS on the miniscule DSL (i would like a bit bigger ds but not as big as the original ds)

Sektor, I am not that good on Rainbow road, I am not too good at long courses I like quick dashes like ghost valley, etc...

Hm. Time Trials are not that fun to me. If anything I do them to unlock stuff. I´ll see if I´ll be in a competition or not.

Seems like a cool idea. I've managed to get some 'A' rankings and unlocked all the expert staff ghosts, so I'll give it a shot

Oh, and Skull, I'm gunning for your Ghost Valley 2 time! :P I'm getting used to using manual tranmission on heavy bikes (particularly the Torpedo) so watch yourself!

yeah I need to learn how to use funky kong and that speed bike, too bad I love to drift, that cant be done on that bike, and gotta learn to turn MUCH later with it, sometimes at the same time I reach the corner.

I really like this because it pushes us to get better!

Yeah, The Twinkle Star is pretty awesome. Lately I find that using Daisy and the Nitrocycle works really well. Good turning/drifting on manual, and a good top speed.

I just beat neuzd's DK jungle parkway time... and I think mario circuit 3 too.. also took off some more time off ghost valley 2 (I do have about a half to three quarters of a second that i know i can take off, I just crash too much!)will check again and post tomorrow. I think I'll be breaking some of twincross's records soon, you guys had a 4 week head start on me. It wont be long...
also I am using solely Karts ( it seems bikes get the best times) and havent really learned the bikes yet... watch out when I do!

Well, before the whole new friends I added to the game, you and Drake were my biggest worry.

I decided I don't like this game anymore, can I ask to be removed from the list? If anyone wants to check my times, I'll still update my webpage and of course you can still see them on the official rankings.

I am .400 behind neuzd's time on SNES Mario Circuit 3 so that will fall sometime soon after my right index finger heals up a bit

But standard character/karts(what im using) cant compete vs the fastest character/bike using wheelie/powerslide combos, on most tracks(all?).
Im not comfortable with that yet and need some major practice.

I think there's been a misunderstanding.
My original sentence was intended to be read like this: "Watch out for Tull, his times are good." and my decision to quit was totally unrelated to our exchange of posts, really, I'm just not interested in partecipating officially in such a challenge.

And about your kart/bike worries, I'm more concerned about the controls used.
Bike + non-Wiimote gives the player an unmatchable bonus (I really want to go back and challenge damn snakers), and this is particularily true on Time Trials.

Yeah In my opinion Ninty should have made several classes, wii wheel separated from all other controls then split those 2 groups again into bikes and karts, making 4 classes altogether that wouldnt be so hard for them to do...maybe even make one extra "mixed" class too...

the problem is that my racing mentality is too much for the wii wheel to handle. sometimes even the gamecube controller is too slow, My Ghost valley 2 time would get a couple seconds off if the controller reacted a bit quicker

the bikes have a HUGE advantage and that makes the game less "Mario Kart" and more "Mario Bike"

now I have the best times in 10 tracks
Twincross and I need more challengers! post your fc and see if you come out on top...

I have a few, I'll update them later. The biggest thing that gets me into playing time trails is playing the different ghosts from around the globe.

My friend that I mentioned earlier has topped my score with a nice 1'56.45~ run on Wario Gold Mine using FunkyKong/Flame bike.

He's officially Top 10 on the West Coast USA region. Goes by the name of CHUM.

If this thread gets more active, we'll both compete to take down everyone's scores here to at least give you all something to do LOL.

I've already added your stuff and Mr Rodriguez some time ago and last I check you were both pending. I'll get my friend on here as well as we have a 3 way competition going on with Time Trials. Chum is currently leading the Wario Gold Mine with his 9th place regional time, but we don't claim winner unless we hit top 5. So that is ongoing. We are also moving ahead to Waluigi's Stadium as well.

Make note that I'm not always online everynight as I'm actually moved out the house and I play when I make my way home and my 3 brothers aren't on the Wii LOL.

Hopefully I'll see you online sometime and I'll get Chum to make an account and post his info on here(or I will per his permission).

I will post your lead track times as soon as I see the times on my leaderboard.I have been out of town alot lately as well, I thought id be playing video games more in the summer but it has been the exact opposite. I have not been playing MK much but Im so glad I finally tamed Rainbow Road a couple days ago!!!
I am still using exclusively karts because... I dont like bikes! but I heard that if I go nunchuk style its much easier, gotta give that a try...

In the Book of Jogurt, the great time trial record book of the Yogurt clan, scores on karts using the Wii Wheel are the only ones that count.

Wii Wheel is the easiest to use and the funnest so why use anything else?

Hmm... is Funky really faster then every one else?
there stats seem the same, I though it was all on the kart/bike.
