I just beat dk_xcalibur 3-0. I downward stabbed off the screen in the second match, and dk followed that up by killing himself as well. In the final match it looked like he had me, killing me twice with the landmaster, and then I whiffed a triforce slash. Somehow I ground back, though, and he killed himself in the end to finish the match when I was at 170%!

Actually it was relatively lag free. We just shared hilarious mistakes.

And it took some skill to stay alive at 170% long enough for dk to do himself in, thank you very much! This is why I like Toon Link and Pikachu—because they can be dirty sneaks if you need them to be.

Mr.Rodriguez and I just had our match. I beat him 3-0, but they were close every time. The only reason I won the first one is because he hopped off the stage just after he got a smash ball (before he had the chance to use landmaster on me). Toon Link is a real scrapper!

I am so confused with both the League and Tournament going right now. And frankly, I've had to be the one sending out PMs to everybody so I've lost track of who's contacted me, who hasn't and who I've already played. For both the League and the Tournament.

But yeah,I know Divine Justice hasn't contacted me back yet. And I know I either had some connection problems or something with Kevin the other day. Aside from that, I just have a bunch of other matches with people yet to do, but I just don't even know what process I'm at with that. Wither I already sent them PMs or have yet to or what...

I think running the tourney has got me in a bit of a muck about playing my games for the league, but now that the round-robin is almost done (just Kevin and Dieby have to make up more than a couple matches) I should be able to concentrate on getting all my make-up matches done in this league.

At least, when I get back from vacation. I am out of town until Tuesday night.

Technically I suppose it's lasting quite a while. I'm keeping track of cumulative stats. It's just that we're stopping every month or so to sign up new contestants, tabulate leaders, etc.

just about. this was the last week here, then next week is a week just on catching up on your missed matches. After that, the two players with the most wins will have one last brawl.

I disagree. I think there should have been a channel or at least online leagues, rankings, or tournaments. I saw an interview with Masahiro Sakurai where he said that he didn't want the Smash series to be competitive and that's why there are no rankings/leagues/tournaments built in to Smash. IMO this is total crap since there is a tournament bracket in Smash but not online....kind of hypocritical if you ask me. Fighting games have always been about competition. The reasoning given for leaving this out was because he didn't want people to play competitivly and then find out that they sucked because he thought this would turn them away from the series. I'm not that good but I've played Brawl for more hours then any other game in the past 10 years!

So, let me get this straight... you want to brawl against everyone, but you don't want your brawling against everyone to be facilitated by organization? I can't be assed to get online at all hours of the day playing random matches against folks. I'll only brawl people if the matches are set up. So my brawling is all against league/tourney people. You do know that we often stick around after our official matches and have a few fun matches as well, right? It's not like 100% of the playing we do uses league/tourney rules. Just some. Variety is the spice.

Why not? Are you scared of losing? If so, that's a dumb reason for not joining. I've only won 1 match in two league sessions and I think it's a blast. Oh well, it's up to you but I'll most likely not add your code otherwise. In the past, I've added people from here that are not in the league/tournament and I've never played them once. Organized playing adds a personality to the game while playing online. It really is fun playing a match and then chating on the forum about it.
