| Yes they get a Wii in China. This one is just 95 percent more pirated. You know the Chinese and their little pirating problem. I saw this same story on destructoid just yesterday too.

| Console clones were very common in the late 80s, early 90s, there were different clones of Mega Drive, Master System, PC-Engine, and literally hundreds of Famicom/NES clones, some of them weren't bad at all. They weren't all from the far-east either, there were some European ones as well. Back then console manufacturers weren't able to prevent it (or didn't care, at least they still sold games), but I'd imagine these days things would be different, considering how it makes piracy so easy. I didn't think it was possible anymore, with modern consoles being so complex, but I think Nintendo would be powerless to do anything about it in China. |

| I doubt whether this 'console' would play actual Wii games. It looks a lot like those PSP & DS rip-offs that cost about £10 and look like the real deal but only play a few basic built-in games. This Vii is probably similar to a plug&play TV game. Plays its own set of games, probably built in. |
