Advatise as using a PS2 GH controller with it .
Um right when it wan't work as the Wii would detict it as being a classic controller making that bit pointless .

What? Unauthorized by Nintendo I'm sure. Sony and Nintendo wouldn't approve of this surely....seems rather pointless to me

well the guitar controller is obviously a stretch, but using a ps controller for a classic controller would be rad, and i see no reason to think this would hurt anything.

less than 10 bucks with free shipping? i have ps2 controllers and guitars. maybe i will just let you know if my **** blows up.

several of the reviews mention the guitar controller working just fine.

Yep, I agree, using a PS2 controller as a CC would be rad. I don't see why anyone would be opposed to this kind of converter, unless it's really poorly made.

From a business standpoint, which is what I was referring to, this is ludicrous...it just seems too weird to have competitors cross over like that...why this hasn't been attempted in previous generations? Don't make much sense to me.....

How are the buttons mapped? Just wondering in case it turns out to be really horrible (I'm guessing you can't remap them? ). This'll be awesome, since I can play N64 games with a controller that might be more easy to use than the GameCube controller.

I don't know, I've grown quite fond of the Classic Controller for the N64 games...i only use my Gamecube Wavebirds for the 2 GCN games I own and Brawl and Kart (for my 2 youngest)

Never said it was better, just easier to use for me. Besides, it'll be a cool option to have.

What?

It's not like this thing is made by Nintendo or Sony... which makes it awesome from a business standpoint. People love Sony controllers. And it's a gap that's not being filled (and will never be filled) by an "official" product.

what jog said, plus the additional mention of PC games, which have had adapters like this for years....

am i the only one who thinks the playstation controllers are some of the best designed controllers of all time? this is great, i actually ordered one already, i cant wait for it to get here. i looked, and most other ones only plug into the gamecube controller port. im stoked.

Didn't say that they were made by Nintendo or Sony, but the giants still have to approve of third party things like that, don't they? I could be mistaken though

I agree with you, but I'd still rather play SNES games with SNES controllers.

wasnt the playstation supposed to be connected to the bottom of the snes, before sony decided to go solo?

its like a snes pro controller

nah but really i want original controllers for all the older systems, and some adapter to hook them up just like this one. that would be awesome! (i know they make them)

from the back of the package, typed exactly as written:

'1. Overview
PS To Wii Converter integrated PS@
or Psone peripheral device (Ex: Gamepad,
Arcade Stick, Guitar) through the interface
conversion,it provided Wii console to use
to increase the fun in the game.
Due to some peripherals of ps2 or psone
have not Mode Key, it provides a set of
composite key START + SELECT to simulate
the Wii's Home button function.'

i just thought it was kinda funny, reminded me of a certain someone. anyway, this got here today and it ROCKS. havent tried it with a guitar yet though.

lol i know. thats why i posted it, because it makes no sense at all. you can tell what they mean, but yeah they used some crappy translator or something.

if you press start and select together, it acts like the home button would.

I agree with you.

For SNES games on VC, for example, the buttons of dualshock 2 are much more soft and also the wing design is much more anatomic than SNES Controller.

Just the d-pad of SNES is a bit better than d-pad of dualshock.

Overall, Dualshock > SNES Controller.

The whole Dual Shock series has been very "meh" for me. Nothing great or notable, but nothing I can REALLY complain about. The only real gripe is the position of the sticks which is quite tolerable, but not optimal for me. Oh, and the d-pad may be too firm sometimes. Maybe it's my controllers, but I don't feel like I could use the d-pad to play SNES games with a Dual Shock.

I guess growing up in a Nintendo-dominant environment and being around the retro systems makes me appreciate the classic controller more. Now if only I could find my "a" button so I could use mine.I currently use a remote blue tooth setup to play PC games and use the CC remote flawlessly using prongs.
