I admit im not a zelda expert but i know what i like -----
i have all the zelda's but the best retro one is deff lttp.. when considering pac-man over zelda.. hmmm.. ZELDA!! pac-man is and always will be pac-man you know what your getting with that title.. a solid arcade game.. but for a game thats more in depth and challenging not to mention a tad more satisfying go for zelda every time! For the ppl who are thinking of only getting 1 zelda title:- if you only want 1 zelda title then save your points and get Link to the past.. you wont be dissapointed! i want actraiser next just have to get the points for it!

Yes definitely go for Zelda over Pac-Man! You could always play a flash version of Pac-Man for free, Zelda is just more value for money.
I'm not sure which version of R-Type to get, Any help? |

R-Type One is better than Three because in Three you get killed by moving walls more than enemies. All in all, both are good games and are worthy of your time and money. But, get R-Type One first!

Gunstar Heroes or Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts out of that list, particularly if you only want one game.
SGnG is a great game, but personally, I'd say GH is better, and that's not taking into account the utterly unforgiving difficulty level of SGnG |

Super GnG really is a magical experience. Once you get over the initial difficulty level you'll find this game has much more depth that GH. Every level is a carefully crafted masterpiece testing the player to his very limits. The graphics and sound still stand up today. This game also has bags of atmosphere. It's very rewarding if you can master it. There are some cool mode 7 FX further on too. I like GH but for me it's a short blast game with limited appeal. Yeah it's 5/5 because it's pushes the envelope for the MD but I really do not believe that it has the long term potential like Super GnG. Of course I would say that! Look at my avatar! |

Oh lord. I have officially been smacked down by a Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts fanboy.
Still, I stick by my opinion. Gunstar Heroes is just as well crafted, and to play it well requires just as much skill, and it's more visceral and easy to pick-up-and-play at that. It doesn't require the initial investment of Ghouls but its bountiful rewards are there for the taking. And it's prettier. So there Hehehe. Either one'll be enjoyable. |
