Default Where's the third party love?

Out of all the Mega Drive/Genesis games released, only one has been third party (Gunstar Heroes). While Sega's games were the cream of the crop on the system, it'll be a real shame if none of the third party stuff comes out.

What could be the reason though? Even the one third party related game due for release, Ghouls 'n Ghosts, was developed by Sega. Compare this to the SNES and NES, which has has had lots of third and first party games

It's early days yet. I'm sure we'll see more third-party stuff down the line.

Actually, he's right, the MD version was ported by Sega, who also redid the art from the arcade game, not Capcom.

If Gunstar Heroes (developed by Treasure) can be classed as third-party then so can The Story of Thor (Ancient) and Vectorman (Blue Sky Software).

Vectorman is on Gametap, so I see no reason why it shouldn't be on the Virtual Console.

I believe Quackshot was made by Sega themselves?
