Thanks for that, guys

The only reason I'm not that great at them is that I don't have much experience with them. I was introduced to gaming with the Super Nintendo (Donkey Kong Country) but first became interested in gaming with Spyro on the PSX. That pretty much explains it

So I might get ActRaiser. Thanks again

It depends what genre/genres you're interested in?

DoReMi Fantasy is a completely amazing platformer, and Donkey Kong Country 2 is even better (but just slightly).

For racing, you can't go wrong with F-Zero X. It's still one of the fastest and best racing games ever made.

I might just maybe be getting some points soon, although I'm on the edge since I'm trying to save up my money. But all the same I'm thinking of one of these;

Mega Man 2
Vectorman
Punch Out!!
Shining Force
Shining Force ll
Sin and Punishment (I will only get this if I get 2000 points)
Gunstar Heroes
Sameri Showdown (1 or 2, doesn't matter)
Gyyrostarr
Bomberman Blast
Sonic the Hedghog 3

All of those seam like pretty decent games, but I'll most likely only be able to get one of them.

Get Mega-Man 2 and Punchout for 1000 points
those are really good games for not much points

Sin & Punishment is a good game, but you shouldn't buy it if you're saving money. It costs 1200 points.

If I were you, I'd get Punch Out!! and Gunstar. They're classics, especially Punchout!! I wouldn't recommend Sonic 3, since it's basically half of a full game. Plus, you can get it (as well as Vectorman and Mega Man 2) on collections, so DLing them individually when you get them in collections with other games is a little pointless.

I would say get Punch-Out!! and Mega Man II for 1000 points.

You have Mega Man 9, so you basically know what you're getting with another Mega Man game. If you're trying to save money, do you want to spend 500 points on more of that same gameplay?

If you weren't trying to save money, my recommendations would be, in this order:

Punch-Out!!
Mega Man II
Shining Force

Well, I'm going to be having a party soon and with parties, comes friends that play video games. So.....my question for all of you tonight is what Wiiware/Virtual Console game(s) I should buy. I'm already planning on getting Tetris Party but I'm open to getting something else in addition to that.

I currently have:
Bomberman '93
Donkey Kong Country
Gunstar Heroes
Kirby's Adventure
Kirby's Ghost Trap / Kirby's Adventure
Lylat Wars / Star Fox 64
Pokémon Puzzle League
Pokémon Snap
SimCity
Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Earth
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Defend Your Castle
My Pokemon Ranch

Please recommend only games with some kind of multiplayer/co-op option. I don't think anyone will feel like just watching.

Secret of Mana is 3-player as long as you're far enough into the game that you have a full party... and people have to be into RPGs... and know what's going on.

Some kind of fighting game like Super Street Fighter II would be good. Aren't there 4-player WW games, like Bomberman Blast and that Trivia game?

I suggest Mario Kart 64 or F-Zero X.

Well, I already have Mario Kart 64 for the real N64 and I have F-Zero GX (which I don't like at all) so those are out of the question. Secret of Mana will have to wait for a time where it's only 1 or 2 of my friends as I don't think some of these guys will have the patience for an RPG. So far I'm leaning towards Bomberman Blast since the 93 one was fun with friends, and some version of SFII. (not sure which one though)

Super has the 4 extra characters and a bunch of tournament modes. Not sure what kind of multiplayer modes the other SFs have though.

I suppose I'll go with Super if it has the superior modes. Although I have to say I prefer the graphic style of SFII Turbo to Super's.

Here is a recommendation request from another thread:

Anyone have any thoughts?
I recommend Tetris Party and Secret of Mana, at least. Tetris Party is a great party game and a great Tetris game, and if you're a puzzler fan it should keep you going for a while. Secret of Mana is one of the best SNES RPGs, and one of the best SNES games in general... and one of the best RPGs in general. That would leave you 500 points for MM9 DLC or for Punch-Out!!.

Right on, thanks Jogurt. If I do pick up Tetris Party we'll have to play some Wi-Fi. What are your thoughts on Art Style: Cubello? It looks pretty nice. DO you have Dr. Mario Online RX, if so, what your friend code is?

Art Style: CUBELLO is pretty good. Once you play a level you'll want to keep playing more. The only frustrating thing about it is that on some levels you'll feel like you need to rely on luck to win (bonus time), and that the later levels can be pretty tough for colour blind Yogurts.

Most of my friend codes should in the Universal Friend Code thread (see my sig for a link), but if they're not already then they will be soon.

I'm not exactly sure but for some reason the "Super" ones seem more skinny and strange looking than the bigger character models of Turbo. Maybe I'm just imagining things.

I thought they recycled the sprites from II-Turbo-Super.

Well, I know they did redraw them for the Arcade version but for the SNES they may have just reused them. I'm going to go with Super if I do download one of them since it seems to have the best modes for multiplayer.

Default 1700 Wii Points Left...

So I just downloaded Secret of Mana which I feel is a very solid purchase. Should I now get Tetris Party & My Aquarium with my 1700 leftover points, or should I get Bomberman Blast and Art Style:Cubello? Decisions...decisions

Tetris Party and Punch-Out!!, unless you're really set on My Aquarium. There are lots of great 500 point games on the NES. I don't know about Bomberman Blast, but Cubello is not all it's cracked up to be. Starts out great and then gets old / unbalanced pretty fast.

Right on Jogurt, I think I'll trust ya on this one. Though I think my cat would enjoy watching some fish swim around the screen from time to time so we'll see. As for Tetris Party, I'll shoot my friend code your way once I get it set up.

Exactly what I was going to say. I would suggest Orbient over Cubello if you were going to go with Bomberman, which is really fun if you like Bomberman or multiplayer.

I do want Bomberman, but I'll have to save that download for later this week when I get more points. I just went the Tetris Party route so now I have 500 points left.

Mega Man 2
Punch-Out!!
River City Ransom
Super Mario Bros. 3

Oh yeah, I have River City Ransom, Mega Man 2 (well I have the anniversary collection, and the x collection, huge fan). I'm sure I'll be getting Punch Out very shortly. Zelda is always great, though I still need to finish Twilight Princess & Phantom Hourglass. Super Mario Bros 3 is classic and I really should pick that up one of these days, I'm still truckin through Super Mario World right now though.

In which case, it's best you go for Punch Out!! But you should pick the others up at a later stage

Or you can go for Defend Your Castle. Addictive AND cheap (500)
