Default Quite vexed at NOE's VC star point system.

Because i'd overheard some people hear mentioning it as well as on other sites, I looked further into it and registered my console to my incredibly ollllld account. And upon redownloading a few titles to see if it works, nothing.

The only titles that have since shown up are the last 3 that I bought. It seems like you can only add new titles to your list. Which is really skemming.

Because it's not as if you could just constantly re-download them over and over again for more points. Because i've tried registering 2 copies of a product before, and after i'd registered one it told me that I had already registered the second copy, when I hadn't.

So what gives Ninty?

That's 61 VC games that can't be added to my account. Unless there's some other way of uploading them put into effect (Preferably a "Link My Account" option added to the VC where you click it and it syncs up all of your new titles to the sites list of what you own).

Oh, also, I love how going to NOE's site on my Wii, makes my Wii freeze up completely so that I have to hold the power button for 8 seconds. It also never "Remembers" me despite me always clicking that button. Even when i'm on a Laptop like now.

Let's just hope those rumours of a site redesign are true, eh?

Another thing as well. The official forums have been down for weeks now, so how come they haven't all came here to chat?

Bloody NOE Fanboys!

When I made a Nintendo profile and linked it to my Wii I had already downloaded 4 VC titles. If you want them to show as registered, you have to email Nintendo. That's what I did and they became registered to my account within 24 hours.

Of course, I emailed NoA, but I imagine NoE would do the same service to you.

Aha, thank you for the heads up. Did you have to do anything special like provide codes or anything?

Because surely if you just say "I have blah, blah, blah" they'd want proof, otherwise you could just get an A-Z list of everygame out and say "I've got *A-Z list of everygame*".

If you have your Wii registered and linked to your Nintendo account they can look up what downloads you have.

Yeah, despite their release schedule and such being horrible, NoE actually has pretty good customer support.

Also, if you ever buy an imported game at a shop (So that it doesn't come with stars), or you just buy a game without stars (Shop stole them or something), scan the receipt and mail it to them and they'll generate a new code for you. I've done that a few times.

Yes, I finally got my Wii Shop working with my Stars Account, and only the games I've downloaded since connecting the two have shown up.

I emailed NoE a week ago about it, but I've heard nothing since.

Really? I bought my GBA in the US, so obviously the games don't have Star codes. So I can email NoE to claim Stars on them anyway? Good to know.

As long as you scan the receipt, yes.

Didn't know NoE did that... pity I do not have the receipts for my GameCube and GBA stuff...

But I gonna try it with my Shop-Account.. just for the sake of Wii-Points... damn EU and non-Swiss Politics....

I received an email today from Codestorm (NoE's customer support agency) today, claiming that the Stars-for-Wii-Points system will be "available later in the year". So nothing new, really, but it's nice to have some official confirmation.

That is good to know. I've got 6000 of the buggers burning a hole in my virtual pocket... I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who thought that "wallpapers" were a slightly lame use of the stars....

I asked my nearest NoE, and they only award Starpoints to products downloaded, while the accounts are linked. So no starpoints for over 60 VC-Games. NoE already sucked more than anything that ever sucked bevore, but now they stink too!
