Ok well this thingy is about Donkey kong. So you can talk about whatever, DK country, DK 64, Donkey Kong anything. And did you know there makeing a DK king of swing for DS. But I guess the main reason I made this topic is to know how you get 100% in DK country? Does any one know?

Find every single bonus room. I used to think you had to collect every banana, which in hindsight was insane, but the manual wasn't entirely clear. You'll know you've found every room in a stage when an exclamation point appears at the end of a level's name.

Also you can get 101% if you find a super secret bonus room....

I want the arcade version of Donkey Kong. Stupid crippled NES version, I already have that on Animal Crossing... and the e-Reader.

101% in Donkey Kong Country

You don't have to find a "Super Secret Bonus Room".
You just get 101% if you find the last bonus room.
So it could be any bonus room.

In DKC2 Diddy's Kong Quest it's 102%.
In DKC3 Dixie Kong's Double Trouble it's 103%.

About Donkey Kong 64 / DK Arcade

There's no arcade section in the VC but that's not that bad in case of DK Arcade.
Because you can unlock the Arcade version that's hidden inside Donkey Kong 64.
And DK64 is obviously coming to VC in the future.
However, an Arcade section is needed on VC. KILLER INSTINCT and MARIO BROS. yo!

About new DK games

I can't wait for Donkey Kong Jet / Bongo Blast for Wii.
I hope this will be announced soon.
And if I finish DKC2 102% within the next week, keep DKC3 coming on VC (not DK3 - DKC3!) ^^.

Wait...if Donkey Kong Arcade is on DK64, does that mean it includes the pie factory level?

well, it's the complete, uncut, orginal DK Arcade, so..
YESSS, it includes the pie factory level.

So, if Nintendo ever releases the Arcade version, don't be stupid and burn your money once again!

Instead, your way better off getting Donkey Kong 64 where not only DK Arcade is included but the original very first Rare game Jetpac as well.

Yes!! I heard a while ago that the only way to play the pie factory was by using an original arcade cabinet, but this is great news!

Yeah, Donkey Kong (Super Game Boy) is the best DK game ever.
But the first four levels feel quite different and much easier because of Mario's new abilities:

Mario can fall a much greater distance without dying.
And with his new triple jump and saltos, he don't even need to climb the ladders.

Actually, yes, there is a super secret bonus room that must be found to get 101%; if you don't find it, then you haven't found every bonus room, now, have you? You're correct in stating that this particular room does not automatically bestow 101% status upon you, nor does one need to clear every other bonus room prior to finding this one. Neither statement was in fact implied in my response. It's simply very likely that you would find all the other bonuses besides the secret one, see the big 100% by your save file, and call it a day, never suspecting 101% was possible.

And technically in DKC 3 you can get 105%, but you have to enter a cheat code to allow that to happen. Your end game rank will be "Cheatin' Chimp."

Super secret Bonus room, you mean the only one Bonus room that's hidden inside a Bonus room? The one in the Oil Factory? Well, know that's not super secret anymore.

I got 101% about ten times and this was a game I totally owned. I'm a DKC speedrun champion. 101% in 1:12 come on beat this. But I got rusty since it came out. On VC I recently got 101% 2:33. Having done too many mistakes and wanted to have only DKs face on the map, not Diddys.

Well, there isn't a special Super Secret Bonus room in that game at all.
Every Bonus Room can be considered "super secret" if you don't find it.
But after all, DKC pros already know if there is an exclamation mark (!)
behind the level name in the map screen, then there's nothing important
to find in this level anymore.
