Default Should I rebuy Mega Man 9 on WiiWare?

I have already purchased Mega Man 9 on XBLA, but after playing the original Mega Mans on the VC, and with a NES controller, I really enjoy playing it that way, also I have a slight OCD complex as I would like all of the games from the series on one system. Should I just buck up and deal with it, or rebuy it on Wii Ware? (After I get Mega Man 10 and 4 of course)

I wouldn't, but then I wouldn't buy it in the first place as I have no affinity for Megaman whatsoever.

If you are wanting someone else to greenlight/justify it for you then it probably demonstrates that you know yourself it is a waste of money. On the other hand part of the premise of the VC is to play games in a more convenient manner than hooking up another (usually older) system.

If you have the 360 hooked up anyway though then its doubtful what you're gaining in terms of convenience. I'd say spend your points/money on something else...like maybe the sequel.

i suppose you're right. I'll probably just wait until there's nothing I want coming out for VC. (yeah right haha). this is just going to lead to me playing (and probably beating) mega man 10 first.

well, IMO, from what i've seen the WiiWare one is more true to real NES emulation. the colours didn't look right on the PS3 version. your money at the end of the day. (i prefer the WiiWare version )

i just found out you cant use the gamecube controller for MM9 or MM10 which renders my NES controller adapter useless. Is it still a better buy on WiiWare? I think I may just end up getting it because I'd rather use the Wii Remote than the 360 controller, that dpad is useless.

Maybe he wants to see if there's anything better about the Wii Ware version? Such as the feel of the control or such?

Because VC consistently gets such great releases...Such as this week. We got Fatal Fury Special...Oh boy. Another redundant VC game.

Some people claim that the WW version of MM9 has more faithful colours or whatever. For me, the #1 thing that tips the balance is the Wii remote control scheme. The side-by-side buttons match the NES controller and make playing really easy.

The man only has 24 VC games, and they're all from Nintendo systems! There's a whole world of awesome non-Nintendo games out there for him!

that's funny because I'm really not that interested in any Sega games. All I like from them is Sonic and I have all those games on XBLA. Oh and Castlevania Bloodlines, but that's not on VC yet. As for the other systems, I only want Castlevania: Rondo of Blood from the Turbografx CD.

You will learn, young one.

It's odd to enjoy great games released on one system and not enjoy great games released on another system! If Wonder Boy in Monster World (a cute fantasy Metroid) and Shining Force (a solid tactical RPG) had been released on SNES you'd be drooling all over them.

Aaaaanyway, I just think you should get MM9 on WiiWare because you clearly kind of want to!

i definitely do KIND OF want to haha. it's just I bought Mega Man 10, and I'm getting Bad Company 2 tomorrow, so if I get Mega Man 9, that's $80 on games this week lol.
