| Welcome back, only 2 new games in Japan @ 08.01.08 One of them isn't really new, we got it already: Samurai-Ghost for PC Engine. The other one is an old beat'em up classic by Konami: Yie-Ar Kung Fu for the Famicom. |

| Three new games in Japan this week. ( 15.01.08 ) 1080° Snowboarding (N64) - This is one for the cold days. It's not only the first snowboard game on the VC, it's also the best: controls, graphics, course design and challenge, stunt mode and 2-player splitscreen. If you wait for a better snowboard game, you will wait many winters. Adventure Island (NES) - The US already has this classic platformer. Monster World IV (MD) - Just want to inform you, this good-looking platformer-RPG is out as well. But let the Wonder Boy maniacs on this forum clear up which part of the series it really is... |

| Only 1 new game in Japan this week. ( 22.01.08 ) I hope I'm not missing something.... It is Devil World for the NES. Originally only released in Japan and Europe. An overlooked arcade game in the vein of Pac-Man. Pick up the cross, so you can collect the dots. The screen moves in all directions, so be careful not to be crushed by the walls. So, if you want a Pac-Man game, that's not too repetitive and has more to offer than just the same level over and over again, get Devil World. 22.01.08 Devil World 1984-2008 (Nintendo) http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/vc/vc_dw/index.html DEVIL WORLD video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5zpk0FVXVI On a side note: Your main character, the little dinosaur TAMAGON is a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee. The main enemy, the DEMON, makes an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ve4WMGzHeeU Last edited by SKTTR; 26th January 2008 at 10:41 PM. |

So, Adventures of Lolo and Super Street Fighter II leave the Japanese exclusive list and join the western releases, at least in the US for now. Reminding newcomers (and Japanese VC fans) to watch page 1 of this topic as it's always updated with the latest news. Last edited by SKTTR; 26th January 2008 at 10:13 PM. | ||||||

| 4 new games in Japan ( 18.03.08 ) TG Mr. Heli (1989) Irem http://vc-pce.com/jpn/j/title/mr_heri.html A great exploring-shmup and a real Turbografx classic. Watch this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=sMw6WqrO364 Classic. 4 Stars NES Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun (1987) Technos, Million Co. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/vc/vc_nk/index.html From Wikipedia: Renegade is a video game released in American and European arcades in 1986 by Taito. It is a westernized conversion (including changes to all of the sprites and backgrounds) of the Japanese arcade game Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun (熱血硬派くにおくん? which roughly translates to "Hot Blood Tough Guy Kunio-kun"), released earlier the same year by Technos. It is an immediate technological predecessor to Double Dragon, and Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun is the inaugural game in the Kunio-kun series (which includes Super Dodge Ball and River City Ransom). Watch this video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ceTaTyN_QLQ Fun little brawler. 3 Stars TG Panic Bomber (1994) Hudson http://vc-pce.com/jpn/j/title/panibom.html Another unique Tetris-style puzzle game for crazy combo-fanatics.
