Yea only on the VC else all lists would explode (even with unreleased ones )

Wonder Boy in Monster World just finished

I was worried it wasn't going to give me an ending for a second, but it seemed to be an oddball game that showed the credits before the ending!

Great game in any case, but...

I know, but I thought that had very little to do with the past games? Although I may be wrong in saying that.

I wish they'd give us Monster World IV, but I doubt it's likely, being a Japan exclusive More than anything, I'd love to see the franchise revived, I've really gotten into it thanks to the Virtual Console

It has quite a few connections to WBIMW, actually. It's got all four helper characters from the game and the fairy queen. It also mentions Shion (The main character from all previous games).

Really huh? I'll have to check it out sometime

And have just finished Super Ghouls n Ghosts. The last boss wasn't that hard oddly, I defeated him on my second try without taking a hit. Probably for the better, at least Arthur was able to meet up with his girlfriend with some dignity rather than just being in his underwear :P

I only did it on normal though, shall I try it on Expert, or go straight to Professional?

I beat the final boss in Kirby's Adventure yesterday.... but I plan to go back and find those secret switches another time....

Did anyone else think the final boss looks a bit like Waluigi? Except for the tornado body...
This is the first time I've managed to do it on the Nes version.... did they increase the amount of time for the first part in the gba one?

Finally got around to beating Zelda: Link to the Past, after putting it off for the last few days. Good game. Aged quite well. I still can't see, though, how some think this to be the best Zelda. Sure, they re-used a lot of ideas in the later Zelda games, but LttP has relatively little plot and dialogue, it isn't all that long due to the somewhat limited size of the world map, and a lot of the special items I picked up I never had to use to beat the game.

Yes, it is a lot of fun, but it doesn't quite live up to the hype.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Great game (even with those extremely fugly pixelated pre-rendered messes in places), but I wouldn't say it's the best Zelda ever. I've yet to play Majora's Mask, and I hope we'll be seeing it on the VC. Anyways, I think Wind Waker and Twilight Princess easily trump OoT.

I found it strange how some characters were saying how the world was overrun with monsters, after the time shift, but there were actually more to be found in the past on the overworld map. *shrugs* Yes, besides the dungeons the maps felt kind of empty. Heck, Link to the Past had more monsters running around. =/

I also found Epona to be highly underused. Main function: ferrying across Hyrule Field. It may have saved me a bit of time, but it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference if the horse bit hadn't been included.

Add Kirby NES for me. And i'm so sick of waiting for people to want to play the CO-OP games with me (It's always SOR 2 or Golden Axe. Never any of the others like Mario World) that i'm racing through them on my own, so i'll have a few more to add to that list soon

Only Streets of Rage 2 (twice!) and Sonic 2 so far. I don't play Bomberman in single-player and I haven't played SMB and LoZ properly yet!

I agree. OoT set the ground rules, but WW and TP improved on them, making them the better games, imho.

Believe me, it just made the game playable in the original PAL version. Don't know if the VC release runs any faster, though.

what else is a horse to do? the main character is link, not epona : /

and remember it was the first of it's kind. interacting with another 3d model, in this case a horse, was very well done considering the year it was made.

run, jump, shoot arrows. i love oot

Done it on co-op, and neither of us like the game enough to 101% it.

There's few games that I like enough to beat them fully.

I used to try to do that with everygame, but now, I just don't have the time.

I just mean that I've only been playing SMB and LoZ for about five minutes each time, just for fun, not attempting to complete them, and starting from the beginning again each time. So I haven't played them "properly" yet.

But I have played all the way through Sonic 2 and SoR2. In fact, I just played through SoR2 again this afternoon!

So basically, I've only completed Sonic 2 and SoR2, and your update is spot-on.

One bit of advice I can give you is to put in the usernames in the first post alphabetically. My thread has 95 lists, and rising, and I'd be completely lost trying to find someones name for updating if I hadn't done so.
I suggest you do it now before you get to that point!
