So, as of today, we've been without any Virtual Console release of any kind for 3 weeks now.

Anyone starting to get the feeling that it's all but over for the VC right now?

Aero the Acrobat has been dated for Summer according to Sunsoft, so I'd be expecting that pretty soon.

We'll get Eufouria eventually, too, as well as Mystic Quest if the rumours are to be believed. Nintendo has a couple guns up their sleeves, too, but they want to sit on them for a while. Don't forget we also have some Capcom NES-SNES game (Mega Man, notably) coming.

And also, Capcom are preparing to unleash Arcade titles in Japan, so as long as they don't do a Namco, good times could come ahead soon.

I'm really really disapointed in Nintendo for the lack of VC titles of late. I could care less about the wiiware stuff. Thank god Metroid is coming out soon.

I'm extremely disappointed with the VC/WW service as a whole this summer. I've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting all summer...and waiting, for nothing. Every Monday I look forward to something worht playing being released and it never comes, and every week Nintendo only makes the Playstation network look better. I just don't understand why they're sitting on so many amazing games when they could be banking off them. Clearly Nintendo must try to release games around times when they think they will make the most money off them, or something along those lines. Granted there have been a few solid releases but those are few and far between. In all honesty...GIVE US THE GOODS ALREADY NINTENDO, WE ALL KNOW YOU'VE GOT EM!

Well, today marks the 15th anniversary of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. And to celebrate, Nintendo released...some obscure NEOGEO game on Virtual Console today instead.

I think it's safe to say at this point that neither Yoshi's Island nor Star Fox are ever going to see Virtual Console releases on the Wii.

I believe it was one of the classic games demoed in 3D on the 3DS at E3, so there might be a little hope...someday.

A little hope for playing the original SNES version of Yoshi's Island, or some upgraded/remade version or portable/3D sequel etc.? It may not ever show up on the current system's VC, but I still don't see anything stopping it from being on the future-VC someday.

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest is a good bet to come soon considering EU has it already. I wonder if they'll blow their load by releasing it at the same time as Sonic 4 (which I'm more likely to get on sale on PSN for like $5 than on WW for full price).

They release fatal fury # whatever on VC yet we haven't seen contra, Turtles 2, turtles 3, blaster master 2 or anything of that type. Come on nintendo give us sequels we actually WANT.

Some people actually want a Fatal Fury game over crap like Blaster Masters 2, especially since Europe got it about a month ago.

True, but they still gave us FF4/2 and Kirby Super Star after their DS remakes. And who's to say it won't get added to both at the same time? They do it with some Wiiware and DSiWare games (Release a version for both)

Awesome, I might actually get this now. I held off so far mainly because of this bug, but now my only real excuse would be the fact that there's a version for free on PC.

Sweet, it's now back on my wish list. Sadly I am 800 points short. This might also be an indication that the EU release is even closer now.

I might consider getting Mystic Quest someday. Not now though but someday.

I buy 3000 points all the time. Usually gets me 3 SNES/Genesis or 3 N64 games at once. Wii Shop lists increments of 1000, 2000, 3000 and 5000 points when you purchase with credit card, although I've only ever seen 2000 in stores in card form.

Great that Lufia 1 and 2 are finally coming. I've missed out on getting them for Snes a few times and the VC price is really alot more appealing

I would love to see some Faxanadu. I got some Wii points for my birthday so I'm all set...

Lufia? I really don't know much about it. I'm interested, though, if it's as good as it sounds.

Super Pitfall, Abodox, and Willow would be nice alternatives as well. I have to believe we won't get a no-VC week on the Monday before Christmas.
