Looks like Nintendo doesn't want us creating last-minute prediction threads anymore.

Gone are the days of people opening up a new thread right after an update. We're all getting old and lazy. ^^

Smash Bros. is a feast of course, but I'm actually more looking forward to Sudoku done by Hudson.

I'm a tad confused. Are those the actual releases, or just predictions? If it's the former, than wahoo.

It's been somewhat confirmed by an English website.
Nintendo themselves haven't said anything so far, though.

Official Nintendo Mag's website spilt the beans.

I played it the other day and maybe it's just me but I thought it had aged really badly. Still, Hanabi surely next week??

To be honest I sold the N64 original planning to pick it up for VC, however since then Brawl has arrived which surpasses it in pretty much every way (I didn't feel the same about Melee for some reason) so I'll skip on this one.
A nice release all the same though and I'm sure it'll make a lot of people very happy.

Not only is Super Smash Bros confirmed, but we will also get those.

Virtual Console
Super Smash Bros - 1000 Points

WiiWare
Cocoto Platform Jumper - 700 Points

DSiWare
Asphalt 4: Elite Racing - 800 Points
Sudoku 150! For Challengers - 500 Points

Speaking on the Super Smash Bros, I am glad it's finally out for VC, but it's just not as good as it used to be.

I couldn't disagree more, sorry.
IMHO Brawl is the weakest in the series and Melee the best. The original still plays pretty nice to this day.

@ SKTTR: Why do you still predict, when the releases have already been confirmed? ^^

Thanks for that. If you look at the very first post on this thread you'll see that very same list.

I agree, whilst it's nice for those who played the original, I have no interest in it. I'd much rather more WiiWare.

I sold my copy of Melee on ebay hyping it up as the best version even though I don't myself believe it
Perhaps I didn't give it much of a chance but I just didn't enjoy it. I didn't like the controls compared to the original and I just couldn't get into it.

I thought only Smash Bros was confirmed on that list you posted. My bad

Hmm I need to replay Melee sometime to see if I still find it enjoyable as when I first got it.

Wait; what? Nintendo added these games on Friday (yesterday) instead of Monday?

Is that gonna be the norm; VC/WW games on Fri instead of Mon or are we gonna get some some games this Mon as well?

These are the European releases, not the North American ones. NA still updates Mondays.

Me too. I trust the opinion of this site more than any other.

Too many games to play, not enough time!

Yeah, I see us getting nothing else this month (very depressing), 6 Hanabi titles next month (TurboGrafx or Sega), and the 300th EU title (Super Mario Kart) for the first week in August.

Chances are, with all the current imports in the pipeline, I d say Final Fantasy looks like a likely candidate for game number 300.

i hope that the 300th game is the reason for these 2 week updates... :/

EDIT

SimEarth is dated for a June date, so we should at least see that next week...

Have all milestone games been first-party, or am I wrong about that? I'd wager Super Mario Kart is a more likely 300th game than Final Fantasy, but that's just me.

I thought Secret of Mana was the two hundred and fiftieth game?

Nope, it was either Jumpman, Boulder Dash or Sonic the Hedgehog (SMS) which was released on the same week.

I wonder if Nintendo considered 250 to be a milestone at all. Only the Shop Channel can tell (unless they keep their old press releases archived on the site somewhere).

So, the stage is set. July is upon us meaning as Hudson stated, we're going all Hanabi Festival! Hell, the listings for Bomberman 94 and Twinbee on Hudson's website pretty much confirm it, and NA even got a catch up week this week.

Question is, when abouts in July, the start, middle, or end of July? Will Hanabi start this week, or later with an update of no VC this week? Come on Ninty! Surly Hanabi = Fireworks and this Saturday happens to be the 4th of July (Even though we don't celebrate it over here ^^

Wiiware meanwhile, oh I dunno, Bit Trip Core? It is due next week in America. Maybe a surprise like Pokemon Scramble?

DSiWare, we still due 2 clocks, a caculator and yet another Art Style. Will we see them this week, or will something else show up?

My Predictions

VC

Bomberman 94
Twinbee

WiiWare

Pokemon Scramble

DSiWare

Michael Jackson Tribute Clock App
Art Style BOXLIFE
