as for predictions, i cant predict anything nice soon, maybe later, if MQ is really coming to the VC, and maybe more VC games i like

It was a small joke at the expense of Sandy Beach not any individual on this forum.

At that time Sandy Beach had been confirmed as a release for this week and Mystic Quest had not. I was merely passing on this information in what I thought to be a light hearted way.

Bah.
I feel your pain. At least when Cave Story is released in Europe, it will be properly fixed, unlike the broken NA version.

Cave Story might get released either this month or the next though. It's rated every ware across the pond and recently got a PEGI rating.

Whoah, slang, what is broken in the NA version of Cave Story? This is startling news, seeing how I downloaded this a while back (just haven't really got into playing yet)

There are problems with the music in the game. Music has delays in looping and also has problems with instruments not playing (e.g. drums).

I'm hoping we get a patch/fix when the EU version is released.

Of course, considering the game didn't even come out in NA until two years after its release date, I'm not counting on much support.

talking about fixes, about time they fix mayhem in monsterland

and predictions? well, we just gotta wait and see, i think it may happen that VC dies for a month or so, soon.... i hope not

Vc died a way that not much new games get on VC
all they did was aero the acrobat 1 and 2, i mean, most of the times they give 1, then month later 2nd comes, but i think they dont have much plans for the VC atm

i heard MQ, but i only heard its OFLC rated, havent seen about VC, but hope someone can prove me wrong

i just hope other titles like CT, lufia 2, earthbound and robotrek(please nintendo) will reach the VC, and seiken densetsu 3 translated

anyway, they do more with WW than VC, and i dont really like it
i prefer seeing more retro(not the member here) games

Not my thing. But Monsteca Corral (release on the same day) looks awesome!

And you guys were right: Sandy Beach is crap. I thought I got another decent KONAMI sim after ant nation but I was wrong.

MonsTECA Corral looks like a pre-beta Pikmin with N64 quality visuals. I can only pray it plays better than it looks but judging by the video footage I've seen on YouTube, I'd say it looks like yet another Apple portable game that should have stayed that way.

HoopWorld looks pretty good though and I'm intrigued by the possibility of DLC for it. On the VC front, is Wild Guns actually as good as it's hyped? I know one thing, I won't be buying any more SunSoft related games after the utterly crap Wiiware remake of Blaster Master and the completely average Ufouria and Aero the Acrobat VC releases.

Yes, but I love these visuals. They look alienating, like the whole concept of the game. It's totally my style. I really hope the controls don't fail. First you say it looks like N64, then you say it looks like Apple portable... what do you exactly mean, iPhone games look like N64 games??
And what do you mean by "should have stayed that way"? It's a WiiWare exclusive and not an iPhone port.

Nah, Don't need WiiWare basketball. I get either NBA Jam or Mario Sports Mix if I want a good basketball game. At least the DLC in HoopWorld is free which is always a good thing... but as we all know Virtual Toys made Spaceball Revolution with a free DLC feature that was never used.

Wild Guns is a Natsume game. Sunsoft is a different company.

Yep, it's up on Nintendo's VC page.

Finally! I've been looking forward to this one and it got an impressive review in Edge this month.

I meant to say it has all the qualities of the iPhone ports currently heading to or that exist on WiiWare (i.e. low quality visuals, crap controls and awful content) I'm also sure I read somewhere that MonsTECA was originally an Apple game but I guess it was misinformation. Still, I stand by my opinion based on what I saw of the game - the aliens look like they're in dire need of a poo when they're running and the enemy AI seems poor at best. I rather spend £7 on a Gamecube version of Pikmin/Pikmin 2 at Gamestation.

I don't need basketball either but at least it looks good and seems to play well from the (p)reviews I've read.

The music on the trailer for Tales of Elastic Boy began to **** me off within 1 minute so I guess it'd have to be a game I play without sound. Otherwise it looks like a fairly reasonable if uninspired platform puzzler.

And Yet It Moves should sell well. I won't buy it though, (a) because I'm too tight to keep wasting money on half-arsed indie games and (b) because I've found I have no real interest is video games anymore.

It was a nice run whilst it lasted though: For me the N64 to Gamecube years were great and far surpass anything that came before or after. It's just a shame that the Wii single-handedly crushed any interest I had in video games full stop.

Wish Worms would hurry up already. Okay, I do have the XBLA game, but still, it's been coming soon for quite awhile now.

Worms 1 or Worms 2 on XBLA?

Worms 2: Armageddon is about 100 times better than Worms lite Arcade. I highly reccomend you get it if you've yet to do so.

The first, figured I'd go for the first one before the more features sequel.

Got the achievements recently, so I'll be looking to make the jump to 2 when I get some points...

Samurai Shodown III is confirmed for release on 3rd September.

PAL gamers would be wise in getting the Samurai Shodown Anthology, unless there is somebody out there who really likes squashed 50Hz-fests with sluggish speed just like fighting underwater.

I have the Samurai Shodown Anothology. Very recommended.

The only Samurai Shodown game on the VC I'm waiting for is Samurai Shodown V Special since this isn't on the Anthology.

Wow, that came out of nowhere.

I'd get the Anthology, but I can't find the bugger anywhere...

The Samurai Shodown Anothology never got a UK release as far as I know. But it did get a release in the rest of Europe though. Your best bet is buying it online i.e Ebay.

Yep and it would beat paying +£500 for the actual cart, since it never got a console release outside of the NeoGeo version.

They better bring that to the U.S. I'd seriously buy that even though I got the collection. It's my all-time favorite in the series after SS6.

omg, still no VC?
are there even non-fishing wiiware games coming up?

will those 3 pokemon games get out of japan anyways?
i dont play much wiiware, but if more rpg would come, i'd buy if its good
not buying FFIV after years yet, as i havent finished FFIV on VC yet

i hope mystic quest gets to VC soon, i have more games i want, but thats the only one rated (as far as i know) which isnt on VC yet

we'll have to see, but i hope for more new VC games to come

please let Robotrek (snes) come, haha

What are you on about, we're getting Samurai Shodown III this week.

Those 3 Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games have to hurry since B+W are coming and will look dated by that time...

Those 3 Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games have to hurry since B+W are coming and will look dated by that time...
i meant to say that VC is kinda dead lately

i bold the word "kinda" to avoid misunderstandings... will it work? who knows...

what i meant is that i'd like to see more VC games, as alot havent been in EU or america yet, and if nintendolife is right, there's alot more to come to both

That list of games plus the ever-reducing trickle of VC titles is the very reason why I won't be downloading anything for the foreseeable future. I don't give a toss about playing yet another iteration of Worms or Sonic - neither of which originate from particularly great games in the first place. Nor do I care from crap like Super Meat Boy which sucked when it first came out. In fact, if it weren't for Cave Story I wouldn't even give the listing a second glance and simply pass it off as a joke.

Maybe it's just me, but personally I think indie games games have had their day and should return to their PC/console hacker roots. The stuff from the larger developers on Wiiware is equally forgettable and the lack of anything other than the god-awful Sunsoft stuff and SNK fighters you can buy better versions of on compilations discs proves that the is VC a worthless service to Nintendo.

Once again, proof that a half-arsed approach to something never pays off. Well done, Nintendo. Well done (slow clap)

I haven't seen him writing a positive thing about the Wii for more than two years, which leaves me wondering why he even has "wii" in his name.
