Default vc-reviews - new feature - videos!

It was inevitable really. We had to add videos to the reviews:

F-Zero X review with video!

You'll slowly see them added to all our review pages, that is if Gametrailers have a video for the game (less likely for games only out in PAL land!)

So what do you think?

ya i noticed street fighter had one...

well its nice and all to have a video, but i like what nintendowiifanboy did, which was it gave a video commentary while playing the game, i suggest you move into that field.

but its good to see motion on games in which i have not seen motion before. keep up the good work

It's just a quick easy fix really. We don't have the time to start directing our own videos lol

Anyways about 50% of the games now have videos. Gametrailers doesn't have every video but I suspect they'll be keeping up to date with the new VC releases as they roll in.

I think that is much better than doing your own videos, for one thing as you say I'm sure guy's ain't got that much time on your hands.
Plus, all people need is a little gameplay footage, read the review, look at the rating, read the user comments..........why would anyone need anything else?

Good work guys, keep it up.

I think the footage is great. Now I can see what the game play's like before buying. It's way better than just having pictures.
Thanks!

I thought it would clutter it up a bit at first, but it actually looks alright and is a great feature

I kind of figured they were new, since I didn't notice them before a few days ago. Actually, I think they work just fine; much better than Nintendo's own three-second previews. =/ I think video reviews are a bit of a waste.

By the way, kudos for making such a great site. Very well organized and easily searchable.

Say, where should I go to get one of those game pics as avatar?

Go to Profile at the top of the screen, go down to the bottom and select "Show Gallery". Then Just take your pic and press select avatar at the bottom of that, then submit.
If you don't click submit after you've picked an avatar, it won't go through so remember that.
Remember though, Splatterhouse is taken :P

How about using some of AVGN videos with the games that he has reviewed.

I've been out of touch with the site for a few weeks and just noticed the video embeds recently. Most excellent addition! Keep up the great work.

As far as you guys doing commentary, sure that would be cool but not super necessary. Nintendowiifanboy does it and although their DJ could be a little more, uh, lively it's not bad...hehe..

Is there any possibility that the video feature can be inserted to the Wii version of the site? It's really annoying to go back and forth to YouTube since there's no tabs like in Mozilla Firefox, or at least a link to the video.
