Hey, I never played a Kirby game before...is this Superstar game any good?

Also, I am very interested in Runner...anyone played it to give advice if it's worth spending the 800 points?

Suggestions for both these games are greatly appreciated

KIRBY SUPER STAR is considered the best of all KIRBY platformers. There is a bunch of Kirby games in it - every game with its own story and a few with 2 player co-op, plus a racing game, and some fun minigames.

BIT.TRIP RUNNER is a reaction platformer. It runs automatically from left to right, but you have to time your jumps and slides and collect gold on the way. Like the rest of the series it has a few good electronica tunes. Some find it frustrating that the stages are once again pretty long and if you mess up you have to start from scratch.

I remember Neutopia (24.08.2007) and Neutopia II (14.09.2007) being very close too. Or the Star Wars SNES Trilogy.

But yes, Aero the Acrobat and Aero the Acrobat 2 are the closest, with no other VC game in between (at least in EU).

Sunsoft is just trying to crank their stuff out while the getting's good. Ufouria came out not long ago, too.

MILESTONE ALERT ?


Well, no-one here talked about it, and personally I don't care much either,
but for anyone who's interested, Aero the Acrobat 2 is Europes VC game #349.

So the next VC game hits another milestone.
And from what is officially announced #350 will be Natsume's Wild Guns this Friday.

Dagnammit, I was hoping for someone more exciting. Maybe there'll be another surprise game as well?

Unless you ignore the removed Last Ninja 3, then Wild Guns defaults to 349?

It sounds more like they're just not treating it like a milestone. Routine release for #350. Look for a milestone celebration maybe with #400.

If you think removed Last Ninja 3 ( #268 ) doesn't count as part of Europe's VC releases, then Wild Guns indeed is #349.

But since Last Ninja 3 is treated as a real VC game (it's still advertised on the Nintendo channel and the Nintendo website) and I still have the Last Ninja 3 icon on my SD Card menu, so I will count it anyway.

And honestly, what Jogo says is right. Nintendo doesn't care about a 350th game. The number isn't cool enough. And I wouldn't say 400 is a great nuzmber either. The next milestone might be 500 imo.

But EU's milestones... are not milestones.

#050 Excitebike (NES)
#100 F-Zero X (N64)
#150 Probotector II: Return of the Evil Forces (NES)
#200 Uridium (C64)
#250 Boulder Dash (C64)
#300 MUSHA (MD)
#350 Wild Guns (SNES)

Of all these games, the only time Nintendo made a little fuss and officially acknowledged a milestone, was when F-Zero X (#100) was released.



For the record: the WiiWare EU "milestones".

#050 Pop Them, Drop Them SAMEGAME (Hudson)
#100 Happy Holidays Halloween (505 Games)
#150 Art of Balance (Shin'en Multimedia)

So coincidentally the worst piece of Wiiware shovelware was released as "game #100" and the conclusion is clear: we can't talk about milestone festives at all.
