the tenants of gaming

i present some tenants for gaming. feel free to make up your own. they can contradict others that came before them.

these are the tenants of gaming, as practiced by all true gamers since the dawn of the up right arcade.

- Do not submit to fanboy-dom. the true gamer sees merit in all consoles. and though all consoles are not created equal, they all deserve respect for there contribution to gaming. (yes even the ps3).

- offer up prays to the potato. for from this humble plant comes the source of all your in game snackage.

- upon waking in the morning and before going to bed at night you will recite the gamers core belief "gameplay over graphics".

- tho shall not use the walk though guide unless you have been stuck for 24 hours. or unless your really, really p****ed off at the stupid puzzle / boss / jump.

- tho shall not pretend to thy friends about having completed a game by watching the end movie on you tube.

- tho shall not use your vibrating control as a marital aid, then let your unsuspecting mates use it to play the next day.

- thy shall not say that you have seen big foot in gta san andras.

- do not listen to the devil on your shoulder who tells you that this time this movie tie in wont suck. down that path lies only sadness.
