Valve has recently stated that from May 2nd to May 4th, their hit class based online multiplayer game, Team Fortress 2, will be fully available for free. If you haven't played this game yet for whatever reason then I strongly urge you to do so and join me in a couple of games over the weekend. The link below explains the newest additions to TF2 as well as how to partake in the weekend festivities. Note: You must download Steam, Valve's game distribution service, to play Team Fortress 2. It is free.
http://www.steampowered.com/goldrush/ You can start preloading the game now which will download Team Fortress 2 to your hard drive and unlock at exactly May 2nd for your playing pleasure. If you like it, consider buying the Orange Box which contains Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episode 1, Half-Life 2 Episode 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2 all for 50 dollars. All amazing games. Also, add me to your buddy list. I'm "ionic_in_maine". Happy fragging. Even though I have the OB for the 360 I'd love to play TF2 on my Laptop, so I'm downloaded it just there.
Thanks for the heads up about it, Spore. |

I'm pre-loading TF2 now, but it's taking so long that I think I'll stop it now and leave it on during the day tomorrow...

The 360 version doesn't have a single new map yet. No Medic achievements/weapons either. It's only been bugfixes so far (But there's still some bugs that have been in since release).

There's another achievement pack coming this week (Pyro), so there's another Free Weekend. No excuses this time, try it!

Can anyone tell me how to start the game off of Steam?
