I've always been a fan of the Turrican games, although this is the first time I've played one of the console iterations. While Super Turrican shares a lot of similarities with the C64/Amiga version, it definitely is also a bit different, namely missing a few boss fights and levels I seem to remember, replacing them with others. The altered freeze beam took a bit getting used to.
In the end, it's still a very fun game, though. The music is pretty catchy, although the Amiga version's soundtrack will always be the best. Highly recommendable to people who like action games.
