Excellent games all (also very good is Star Wars on the Master System), but LucasArts (or whatever they're called nowadays) haven't made much noise about the retro scene yet. Given Lucas' general money-grabbing nature, I'm surprised we haven't seen the older games re-released yet!

I think Ninty's focusing on the Japanese companies for VC at the mo.

The console games are quite strong. The SNES series is an excellent set of games, and both the NES and Master System got good Star Wars efforts.

If you're really talking "earlier" though, you'd be talking about the old Atari coin-ops, which aren't quite as good.

I was talking about NES/SNES era, thanks I'm a big fan of Star Wars so I'd definitely downloaded the games if they come to VC then.

Money-grabbing? Remember how long it took them to release the original trilogy on DVD? Ha but they eventually did and yes I still agree they are some money grubbers. Lets re-release the same three movies in theatres and watch all the lemmings pile in to see them.

The Star Wars games for the SNES were amazing. I have not played those for a long time. Wonderful games, in fact I still have the cheats for them lying around some where in one of those really old cheat code books. Haha.
