Question Super Metroid VS Super Mario World.

I've just started dling vc games.

I don't know why but I find Mario 3 frustratingly hard, I get to the end of World 2 and give up. I play a lot of games and never have a second level to be so hard. I think its the way Mario slides. Is Mario World easier or is Metroid a better bet?

*edit* omg sorry wrong forum.. great first impression ^_^

SNES forum?

Mario slides even more in SMW, also Super Metroid is really awsome so get that.

I'd say SMW is definitely easier than SMB 3, but still I'd prefer Super Metroid over SMW. Both are awesome, but SM is simply unique for its great atmosphere in the 16-bit-generation.

What is the point in even comparing the two? They are both excellent genre defining games. Just buy both and be done with it

Exactly. Super Mario World is the best Mario platformer. Super Metroid is the best game in the series. If what you're looking for is a Mario game, then you should really get SMW. Metroid is a whole different animal.

Me personally id say stick with SMB3 and practice on your platforming skills.
