Default About Squaresoft or Enix, whatever it is?
The news said it's not lifting a finger on Virtual Console. Does this mean there won't be Super Mario RPG for the VC at all?

There are already Square and Enix games on the VC. So they're being selective. It remains to be seen what this selectiveness will leave us with.

WHAAAAAAAAAT?????? Did youjust say that smrpg:legend of 7 stars might not come to the virtual console? Well, ya don't hae to woorry about that at all. I know a guy wh hacked into a VC game and found a plan that nintendo had for all the games coming to the VC. AND GUESS WHAT?! Smrpg was on the list! JOY TO THE WORLD!!!

First on the list means nothing. And I hear of that list a long time ago, and I haven't been seeing many of those coming to VC. And as Square said, they don't like to release old games without updates on them, so most of the FF games are going to the DS. Our best hope would be if square re made some of the games on wiiware.

Square does not own Super Mario RPG in the same way Rare does not own Donkey Kong Country, so it's safe to think that it will come out eventually.

Enix doesn't have a problem releasing VC games (ActRaiser)

Square are the ones being jerks about this whole thing. Meaning Mario RPG has a slim chance and games like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger have virtually no chance at all.

Why do so many people think this game has virtually no chance of being released? It's a first party published game that was outsourced to Squaresoft for development. Nintendo owns the Mario characters, not Square-Enix. Square-Enix have little say in the matter just like Rare had no say when Nintendo put the three Donkey Kong Country games up on the VC.
