Ok.
So...Square Enix... Some believe that they just haven't gotten around to putting most of their titles on VC, some believe that they won't. personally, I would like to see Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, Chrono Trigger, and Super Mario RPG, all on the Wii VC. But Alas, all that Square Enix has put on the VC so far is Act Raiser. Discuss. |

ActRaiser is a teaser. A brilliant game, but just the beginning.
The Wii should live on for at least five years, and so should do VC. They're just holding the big guns back for bad times. I always hope EU will get some good US RPG's, and the US should at least get Terranigma. But really, the US got so many good games (Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, EVO: Search for Eden, Robotrek, Final Fantasy VI etc.) while the EU just got a little piece of the honeycake (Terranigma). |

Right now Square has no intention of putting their own games (Final Fantasy, etc.) on VC. But you will see titles by companies they own (Quintet, Enix, Taito, etc.)

Heheh... honeycake....
Anyway, I'd love Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and SMRPG. Chrono a SoM are likely going to be remade on DS or something for more $$.

I think out of the high profile Square games, Super Mario RPG has the best chance of coming out because much like Donkey Kong Country, Nintendo owns the Mario characters and doesn't need Square's permission to put the game out on the VC.
Final Fantasy is out of the question since Square is remake happy with all the old 8 and 16 bit Final Fantasy games. Chrono Trigger will probably get a GBA or DS remake at some point as well as it is one of Square's most popular games. Dragon Quest IV, V and VI are getting DS remakes in Japan so I wouldn't count on any of those games getting released on the VC either. If we see anything else from Square, I'd say Soul Blazer is likely as is Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Evermore, Front Mission and Actraiser 2. |

SMRPG is a Square game. And it's been ESRB rated. It's only a matter of time my friends.
