Default Square Enix let us down

There will be no Square RPGs released for the VC. It seems, according to the report I read, that they feel that there is more value in releasing them on disc still.

****.

I think the comment was that Japanese gamers still prefer physical media. But that doesn't necessarily preclude releases of Squeenix games, even the Final Fantasies and Dragon Quests, in other territories in the future. Fingers crossed.

Square Enix has already released Actraiser on the VC.

Think it was more with regards to FF and the likes. They will be supporting VC, but not with any out-and-out RPGs. I only saw it on Digitiser last night...if it's wrong please don't shoot the messenger!

I've seen this bit of news all over the place in the last few days, but it seems to be a mistranslation. Unless the US office has said something since?

I think that square-enix is more likely to localise games that were only relased in japan such as treasure of the rudras.
But not final fantasy or dragon quest which they would rather remake for the PSP or DS.

Treasure of the Rudras is such a cool game. Practically 3 normal RPGs in one. I do hope they localise stuff like that. Live a Live, Treasure Hunter G, Bahamut Lagoon etc. Stuff that was really big news for Western gamers back in the day but was never made available to us.

Are they referring to FF games only, because they are making GBA money on them, or Chrono too?

I think they might release chrono triger as long as they dont release it for the DS or PSP.
