Default Splatterhouse

I've loved the sequel for Splatterhouse on the MegaDrive for years, so I had high hopes when downloading this one.

It's not as good as the second one, but it is a great game and well worth the download, I've completed it about 4 times already!

I found it really hard the first time through, but the most recent time I managed to do it without losing a single continue (just about)

Sooo, anyone else downloaded it? (If you haven't, do so now!)

Above all else this game rocks because we all know that Rick is secretly Jason Voorhees in disguise. Therefore he is the heartless slasher you'd be a fool to reckon with.

I also think his slide is great too. He's a top lad!

If I were you it'd give it 5* :P

But if the sequel comes out (which it hopefully will) you had better give it top marks, it's much better!

It is great but clearly not worth 5. If it was arcade perfect perhaps, but the TG-16 is slightly lacking imho.

Splatterhouse 2 is not that great as I remember. This was more like a double dragon style beat em up. Good but far from classic status.

Look even mean machines agree with me - 73%

That was 3 that was the DD style beat em up, and that one looks rubbish.

2 is just like a much better version of the original.

I haven't played it that much, but I finished 2 and while I loved it's B-horror movie qualities, the gameplay was pretty bad. Especially the controls..
This one seems to have better level design.

I like 3 the most so far. It has the best presentation and music. The gameplay is a bit repetitive and seems to lack some weapons, but I like how you can choose your own route through the levels.

Oh yeah, and the NES game is actually pretty good except it's not very gory. Great variety and bosses.
