Default Sonic & Knuckles with Lock on coming to Wii

http://sonicstadium.org/news/sonic-k...irtual-console

This is kind of old news now but I didnt see any mention of it here and I knew that people had wondered about this. It seems that Sonic & Knuckles is coming to the Japanese Virtual Console soon (Actually today in fact) complete with its lock on feature. It will be avaliable to those who have both versions of the game (I.E If you have Sonic & knuckles and Sonic 3 you can play Sonic 3 & Knuckles). Still no news on when it comes to EU & US though.

Soon hopefully. With Japan out the way, we can't be too much longer, seeming as we ve waited years for this game to come to VC.

Now we move on to other Sonic matters, like when are the Master System versions of Spinball and Mean Bean Machine are coming. lol. XD

Already have Sonic mega collection on gamecube and Sonic 3 AND Sonic & knuckles (with lock on) on XBLA so I probably won't bother with this. I'm really glad it made it in the end though, the best sonic game ever made

Really glad this made it in. I wish I could get it, but I'll probably get the XBLA versions of Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knucles, since they're cheaper, if I recall correctly.

Dont. If you have the choice go with this one. The XBLA one has removed the built in save feature and replaced it with save states only. That means that once you beat the game you cant replay a level unless you play through the game again to reach it. Cheats are unavailable also so it takes away quite a few fun features (like debug mode).

If your able to then id recommend you go with this version to keep the game in its original state. If your not bothered about the missing features though then the XBLA version is fine.

I never used saves anyways. I always started a new game every time I turned it on, and always played 'till I get a Game over and start all over again. That's how I play every Sonic game, and it's why I love them so much.

And I can't do those cheats for ****. They're way too long.

XBLA should be fine for you then. I Just know that the save feature & cheats being removed bothers alot of people (including myself. Im more bothered about the save feature though. I can live without the cheats.).

I most probably expect a menu at start showing which of the 4 lock on options you want to play .
I wondering if it can detect the sonic triligoy if its on the SD card or does it have to be installed in the main memory .

I read somewhere theres a minigame where if you plug in an incompatible game & hold down AB&C you get this minigame & each game you plug in reveals a completely different level .

Edit
At least this be an upgrade from the one I geot built in my Pocket Megadrive.
