"Quality" here is down to opinion, reviewers are only a small portion of gamers so when they say a game is bad it doesn't neccesarily mean everyone is going to not like the game. There are people who really like the recent Sonic games. I still keep playing them, although they're not perfect they have good enough moments to keep me interested.

Sonic Heroes for Gamecube was the last one I spent any real time with. I liked it okay, but it's really hard to shake the feeling that's Sonic's at his best in two dimensions. Oh, and without voice acting.

i actually liked most 3D sonic games but recently they've been getting crapper and crapper (Sonic the hedgehog 2006 and Sonic and the secret rings) hopefully Sonic Unleased will change that

It's the next Sonic game, which everybody's talking about (and being silenced) these days.
