Lightbulb Side Scrolling Mario on WiiWare?
Does anyone think it is possible for Wii-ware to release a new side scrolling mario game?? I am thinking along the lines of New Super Mario Bros but longer. With the confirmation of Mega Man 9 being released in NES quality and glory, I am sure that if they did the same thing for a classic style mario game Nintento would be rolling in the dough and we would all be really happy. Any thoughts?

I would rather have a remake of SMB in either the Super Paper Mario style, or the Brawl style, since both remade the first two levels, and both looked really good

yeah it's possible for Nintendo to make a new Mario game, maybe an E3 announcement. But I slightly doubt that a $10 game would be longer than New Super Mario Bros which was $40.

I reckon Ninty will have some things like this for Wiiware at E3. Maybe not just classic Mario, but how about Side Scrolling Metroid and such? =D

If we see nothing at E3, I guess it will depend on the success of Megaman 9...

Dude! that would be awesome! You'd go through the level like a classic mario game, but kill enemies like you would in smash bros. like the subspace emmisary.

That would be really fun! Now if we are coming up with these awesome ideas on our own, what is nintendo thinking? They would make so much money with a wiiware mario game.

They are probably thinking that it doesn't include controller waggling or the balance board so people won't find it fun.

I'm no Mario gamer myself but I defenitly know many that are so it would be great to release a NES/SNES game again for Mario. I would rather see Metroid since it's basically one of my favorite series ever.
