Sonic 2 for me as well, but there isn't much between 1,2,3 and CD. S&K is slightly behind (but looks wonderful).

Sonic & Knuckles , the lockon system was something that made me appreciate replay value at the time.

Good point. I really don't know why I said that. GENESIS all the way baby. I thinks its because it is now in the back of my brain somewhere because I have to read all this blather about the mega drive on this site. haha. And yes, I am American.

Yes, yes it is. So many memorable tunes. Casino Night, Hilltop, Oil Ocean, Death Egg, boss music and the final boss music.

Well, looks like Sonic and Knuckles is coming to the Japanese VC next week with the lock-on stuff. =D

very cool! so how are they doing the lock on stuff, does anyone know??

ive always liked sonic 3 the best, because that was the only one i had actually played all the way through, with a good friend of mine. and i liked adding knuckles to the mix.

but recently ive been playing sonic 2 with the wifey, since thats her fav. and i appreciate it much more now than i ever did at the time. its becoming my favorite now, slowly. and of course you can bring knuckles to sonic 2 as well, so win/win.
