I really want Aladdin (way better than the Capcom-SNES-game), Castle of Illusion, World of Illusion (there's nothing better than Coop with Mario and Donald) and Quackshot.
Back in those days, Disney game were not just your (below-)average license titles.

Yeh, I remember playing some of those. Would be nice if Disney allowed them on VC, even if it means a higher then normal price. I wouldnt mind playing those again.

Yeah, I'd happily pay 1000 points for The Lion King, Aladdin or The Jungle Book
Shame it'll probably never happen though

It could happen. Some of those games were developed by Capcom and Sega of America. All it would take is for them to get the AOK from Disney. We did get TMNT, so liecenced stuff is possible.

And the fantastic MD-Aladdin was made by Virgin...VIRGIN?!?! I mean, like...can you believe it? They actually made a good game. ^^

Yeah. No idea if the Virgin games are possible to get onto the VC. Guess if Disney Interactive decide to go VC it could...

SNES Aladdin was made by Capcom, so its more likely we ll see that if Disney let the games available...

I totally agree with KeeperBvK you can't have classic retro games without classic disney games. I need Castle of Illusion along with Quackshot, World of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck. I also want Phantasy Star II, III, IV, Valis III, and Captain America & the Avengers which it was an awesome superhero game that doesn't stink like Batman Forever. *shudders* Does anyone still remember the Batman game based on the first movie trilogy from the 80's with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson? Oh yeah i need my TMNT Hyperstone Heist really bad.

Anyone remember James Pond? I can't remember whether it was any good or not just playing it loads. It's an EA game I think so not much chance of it coming to the VC.

EA just published the MD version, I think, so there's a possibility. James Pond: Underwater Agent was good, but James Pond II: Robocod was superb. There was a third game, but it wasn't nearly as good as the second.

There was also a James Pond spin-off called Aquatic Games. It was an Olympic type competition game with an aquatic theme. Sounds lame and it probably is but I played this game all the time back in the day. So this post is pretty much nostalgia inspired.

I'd completely forgotten that one. Came out towards the end of the 16-bit era as I recall, and didn't do amazingly well.

No way, it was released in 1992.

'92? Wow. I could have sworn it came out at the end of the 16-bit era, but apparently not. My old memory is getting fuzzy.

Oh the Thunder Force games, particularly III and IV are definites. Great shoot-em-ups on a system that conventional wisdom would have you believe can't do the genre well.

Here is my 2nd Generation System wishlist.

Sega Genesis
EA's NHL Hockey- (It was made in 1991 with 22 teams and no names so EA should have no problem with the NHLPA on this one.)
EA's Lakers vs. Celtics- (The best 8 teams from 1989-90, Jordan, Magic, Bird, Motor City Bad Boys, CBS' last season broadcasting the NBA, take out the names and this game is still good!)
EA's John Madden Football- (This is where there were no names just teams resembling their NFL counterparts)
EA's FIFA International Soccer- (Again no names, just countries, can't be that hard)
1992 Summer Olympics Barcelona
1994 Winter Olympics Lillehammer
1996 Summer Olympics Atlanta
Mortal Kombat- The Original

Wow, that is... unbelievably stupid. Just release Bloodlines, stick a 12+ rating on it and you're done.

Have you guys noticed that all the MegaDrive VC releases, except for Ghouls 'N' Ghosts (Capcom) and Rolling Thunder 2 (Namco-Bandai), are games distributed by SEGA themselves?

It looks like, at the moment, we won't be getting much third-party support for this emulated system. So no Konami or EA games for now, I'm afraid.

I loved both games, but I agree Robocod was better. I'd take Robocod over Strider anyday.

Just checked Nintendo's servers and it's listed as being published by Capcom. In fact, it's the only MegaDrive VC game not published by SEGA, it seems...

The early Capcom titles on the Genesis were translated and published by Sega. Capcom didn't start making their own games until later on (I think SF2 was the first one).

Not being a big Megadrive guy, I don't know many, look forward to more SNES games TBH.

But, do look forward to OutRun, that may (or may not) be a tempting buy. Zero Wing for the laughs, and a few of those shmups that I've forgotten the name of... Yeah, those ones
