Default Secret of Mana

Basically I'm opening this thread to see if there's anyone out there who would like to see a remake of the original Secret of Mana instead of all these sequels that don't do to great.

I don't know. The remake would have to be really good. I'd be perfectly content just playing the original (it's a good game, and beautiful to boot).

I agree just the bad thing is I don't have SNES anymore let alona a multi-tap or the game itself, and getting something like that on e-bay may be pretty pricey.I would just like to see a remake of it for the DS instead of all these wanna-b's. I still havn't seen anything close to it as far as the whole weapon system and leveling system goes, either way it would be awesome!!!

I hear lots of good things about secret of mana. Is it a really good game?

It sure is. The characters are lovable, the music and visuals are memorable to say the least, the game takes, like, forever, it has three-player-coop, it has a great atmosphere for a 16-bit game, lots of different (and cool) bosses and monsters, lots of stuff to discover...it's really just as good as people make you believe. ^^

What kind of game is it? RPG? Adventure? Action? What?

This would be a perfect game for the DS WI-FI or even the wireless connection, better than anything they have out now IMO

It's an action-adventure with RPG elements to it.

Would rather see them bring Seiken Densetsu 3 to the DS with local multi-player support. As the game, like Secret of Mana, had the ability to be played single player, but also with up to 3 players in a party at the same time. And if they could do it, WiFi support to allow for the game to be played the same way but with your friends when you aren't near them.

With the added benefit of America and Europe, who never got to play the game, now being able to play it.

That simple port with possible WiFi enhancements would sell more than all the Mana games that have come out after it combined.

Like... What do you mean by RPG elements?
