Post The ULTIMATE Video Game Collection Thread

Hi everyone! I thought it would be fun to have a general collection thread, not just devoted to games from one system or another, or retro consoles, or accessories, etc. but to all things gaming.

This will be different from a site like The Backloggery in that it's not meant to trace gameplay and completion, just sheer collection cataloguing. It'll be different from the other threads on this forum because your lists won't be categorized into a giant master list. It'll just be an interesting little resource for the collectors here to gloat about their sweet collections and to drool over the collections of others.

No collection is too large or too small!

Here are the rules:

1. Post all of your currently owned video game consoles, accessories, and games. Nothing that you used to own but sold or lost. We'd like to have an accurate look at what you currently have.

2. Since nothing is being compiled into a master list, you can edit your lists at any time. In fact, this is encouraged, since most collectors will have collections that are too large to add all at one time. Just add a few things each time you visit until your collection is completely on display. Feel free to link to the specific post URL in your signature, and/or post notifications when you update your main collection post.

3. Since collectors love to brag about their precious collections, feel free to post condition notes and other interesting facts about the items in your collections (factory sealed? found it at a yard sale for an insane price?).

4. Pictures are not necessary, but if you want to show off how pretty your setup is, feel free! Just make sure you trim your pictures down, or else link to them or post them as attachments to keep loading times down and keep the screen from stretching out. I don't want to have to do too much moderation here, but I will.

I'll start!

Sure Flamin', we can include VC and WW games as well, since they're games in our collections! I still have some updating to do to my list (my DS and Wii stuff), so I'll add my VC/WW stuff then.

You can find my collections by clicking the following link:
http://www.elisanet.fi/rami.airola/c...llections.html

I thought it would be too confusing to list them all in one post.

Those lists don't contain consoles and accessories so I'm going to list the consoles here:

C64
CD-i
Game Boy
Game Boy Color
NES
N64
PlayStation
Wii

I think I'll might add the accessories later. Right now I'm too tired to start looking for them.

These are the games that are set up in the living room. The drawer below the systems holds games, accessories, and dvds. The VTech V-Smile is my daughter's, she also has the handheld version.

These are the older systems that are in the front room. All are connected to the same television. The Saturn, Xbox, N64, PS2, and Dreamcast are all running through the surround sound system on the bottom left shelf. All others are running through daisy chained rf connectors. Not the best set up, but it works. The big plastic bin on the left holds accessories and stuff. First drawer holds 8bit stuff, second holds 16bit stuff, next one has the 32/64bit gen (Jaguar, N64, Saturn), fourth drawer has PS2, Xbox and Gamecube stuff. Next drawer has light guns and some Wii stuff, the fifth drawer has joysticks, and the last drawer has random stuff like surround sound and vcr remotes, magazines and instruction manuals.

A close-up view of the systems in the pic above. Note the hint of the tangled mess of wires behind the cabinet.

I have a few games that are currently in the mail, so I'm holding off on taking a pic until everything is here. I'm waiting on Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy III (SNES), both in their boxes, Tales of Symphonia (GCN), Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon (GBA), Dark Wizard (SCD), and the Sega CD Backup RAM Cart. I'm also eyeballing boxed copies of Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark (N64) just because they're in good complete condition.

When that stuff is all here I'll reorganize my shelf and post a pic of the collection so far.

Since pics are all the rage in this thread, I figured I'd post one of my main game shelf. I'll see about getting a pic of my TV/console setup here sometime soon.

Nicely organized! What's that huge FFCC box?

Also, Curse of Darkness! *shakes fist* That's the one CV that was lost in the mail that I haven't been able to re-find yet.

The huge FFCC box holds the accessories for my games like the straps to the Wiimotes, extra plugs, and case cleaners. It all fits so nicely in there.

The dudes at the GameStop only had the case and manual of Castlevania: Curse of Darkness with no game. So I took it because who knows if I'll ever find the case and manual in mint condition!

My American PlayStation 2 [Shown next to the Wii] has a harddrive unit.

But my Japanese PlayStation 2 [Shown next to the FFCC box] doesn't have one, but the back of the system looks a tad different than its American counterpart.

So i did notice the reflection right .
You might have noticed the ventalation slots in the front includes driect ventelation in the harddrive bay i notice with light shining thru it at the right angles you can see right in the bay but in your photograph it shows a reflection of light which is obviously your harddrive .

Its amazing what a sharp eye can find

This is my first post, nice to meet you all, please call me Joe! =]

I actually made an account here because google linked me here following my slightly obscure "famicom classic controller mario golf 64 vc" search, if anybody know's if the famicom classic controller works with mario golf 64 please let me know, the normal classic controller works with every vc game but the famicom version doesn't have analogue sticks and i was gutted when mario kart 64 vc wouldn't let me use my famicom pads d-pad to steer (resulting in the shortest of kart drag races ever before plopping in-to a mushroom kingdom lake).

I am looking forward to compiling a complete list of my games since some (mainly dreamcast titles) are packed away where i can't see them.

For now I'll just add what would appear my favourite games because i'll be pulling titles off the top of my head..

All of them (inc. consoles and pads) are boxed and mint with all inserts apart from the GBA games which are cart only and two noted PS2 games.

Sega Dreamcast(regular PAL), Nintendo Wii(regular PAL), Nintendo Gameboy Micro(japanese nintendo vip limited famicom), Playstation 3(PAL with PS2 b/c and 160Gb 7,200 Sata)

Sega Dreamcast
Two official control pads, two official vmu's and two official vibration packs.
Shenmue
Shenmue II
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure II
Chu Chu Rocket

Wii Play
Super Mario Galaxy
Cooking Mama
Animal Crossing: Let's go to the City
Nintendo Gamecube games

Mario Bro's 3
Super Mario World
Sonic the Hedgehog (master system)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (master system)

Nintendo Gameboy Micro(japanese nintendo vip limited famicom):

Super Monkey Ball Jr.
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

Welcome to the forum Joe!

If it's all the same to you, I'm going to copy your Wii and Sony lists to the Master Lists I maintain here:

http://www.vc-forums.com/sony-system...ist-t8549.html

http://www.vc-forums.com/wii-games-m...ist-t7258.html

These chart game ownership among out forum members so we can see what's popular, etc. Feel free to visit the other various master lists around the forums as well.

Unless it does not have any games in it. I pity the person with that collection.

BTW, nice idea for a thread. Although I don't have too many games, I'll be sure to post my collection when I get the chance.

I'll replace this with a proper list of everything eventually.

Steam Community :: Spore :: Games

Edit: Wow, this thread is old. Well, it's a good thread.
