At long last, an update! =D

Mostly new titles and not much change at the top. However, Virtua Fighter 2 is now tie with Dayatona USA at the top of the Saturn. Who will race in pole position, or be knocked down to 2nd so to speak?

Havent been buying many Sega titles as my DC is still down. More to the point, most of my money is being saved towards plane tickets to go see my girlfriend in America. ^^

So, I ll have the odd bargain here and there, like this one.

Game Gear
+Desert Speedtrap Starring Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote

I really should get a GG sometime... -_-

Ah, cool. Think I'll keep an eye out for it, especially if it comes to VC. Hope you enjoy it.

That would depend on whoever developed/published it.

Yeah, thanks! I played it back in the day but totally forgot about it when I was reacquiring my Genesis stuff. Great to have my hands on a copy of this for good.

I believe they were published by Telenet, parts of which eventually became Namco? The subsidiary that published it in North America was acquired by Sega in the '90s. Depending on property rights, Sega could perhaps have it put on the VC, but there's a chance they'd have to pay off Namco Bandai somewhere along the lone.

So Namco made it then? Now I'm officially interested in this game!

No, it's made by Sega. Namco just published it.

No, it's made by Telenet and published by Telenet's North American subsidiary. Bits of those companies were later acquired by Namco (the developer and Japanese publisher) and Sega (the North American publisher), but that doesn't mean it's correct to consider the game their work. For the purposes of VC release, the rights to the game are in their hands, but that's about it.

Hurray! Mine is complete, too. It's nice to see fads like this sweep through the forum and give Traysia a boost on the collection chart.

New today from the local pawn shop:

Genesis:

+ Fatal Labyrinth (complete in box, $3)
+ Street Fighter II': Special Champion Edition ($2)

It's not much, but I'm growing on it:

Sega Genesis:
Sonic The Hedgehog
Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Jurrassic Park
The Lion King

(Not including Sonic & Knuckles, since it's not working properly, only plays a Blue Sphere game)

Yeah, especially as I recently sold my copy of Saturn Duke Nukem for £10 on ebay!

The guy didn't seem to know the value of anything and hadn't advertised it very well so it didn't attract any other attention.

I've no idea if Darklight Conflict or Crusader are any cop but it was worth it just for Sonic Jam to be honest.

Saturn's are dirt cheap so you should pick one up; not as many great games as the DC in my opinion but still some great exclusives and it has that special feel to it that some older consoles have.

Will have to snare a light gun though for Virtua Cop

I'm still selling off a couple light guns, a couple sticks, and some games including the Virtua Cop series and House of the Dead. I really should get those onto eBay sometime soon. They're funding my Christmas haul.

Are the guns universal? I seem to recall Sega doing something dumb in one territory like locking off the guns from being used. Or am I thinking of the DC?

Yeah, I'll probably get one eventually, since there are quite a few games that I'd like to get for it(granted, a couple of them are incredibly expensive). Actually, I'd say there are more Saturn games I'd want than Dreamcast games(there are only 5 DC games that interest me, to be honest, since most of the games on it were ported to other systems).

Yeah, thats a measure of the DC's great catalogue that it has been ported to so many other consoles but to have them all on one console is still nice.

If one of the games you're talking about is Panzer Dragoon Saga, I can tell you: don't think twice about investing in it. You're guaranteed your money back if you sell it and it's only the price of about two full price 360/ps2 games if you seek out the best deal.

Back on topic:

+ Streetfighter Alpha 2 (Saturn).

Christ man, that's a big update. You're gonna get an update based entirely on your collection alone at this rate. XD

Let know when you have it all up (If have other consoles like Master System, Game Gear etc.) and then I can get started with adding your whole collection.

As for the 360 list, no idea when I'm gonna update it. -_-

I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself here, because my Sega Master System, what will be my first SEGA console, is still coming in the mail, along with the games, but since I've already payed for them, I'm going to list them here anyway =P

Master System:
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Wonder Boy
Wonder Boy III: The Dragons Trap
Alex Kidd in Miracle World
Mickey Mouse in Land of Illusion
R-Type
Spider Man
Trivial Pursuit

EDIT: Master System came, and I went to the second hand store to grab a few more games yesterday.

+Asterix
+Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse
+Penguin Land
+Sonic the Hedgehog 1
+Psycho Fox
+Donald Duck: Lucky Dime Caper
