| Since the Wii can play GC titles, there has never been a better time to ebay those old classics you might have missed out on - especially with a slow down in VC and wiiware quality. For this reason I thought I would ask this question and get an idea of which titles are the most worth buying. Feel free to elaborate on what it is about the title you loved, and after several people have replied, we will have a better idea about whats a 'must have' GC title! Rules: No compilation discs with games from other systems (namely the zelda collectors disc) I'll just point out that there are threads along these lines already, my apolgies to those people whose topics I've stolen! Tally of responses so far: Top 5 gamecube games as voted by VC-Forum users: ------------------------------------------------------- 1. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (18 ) 2. Super Smash Bros. | Well, This list is highly subject to change (like; if I ever get to play Twin Snakes or any of the Resident Evils) but here's the standing so far: 5:Aggressive Inline 4:Super Mario Sunshine 3:Prisoner of Azkaban 2:Wind Waker 1:Ikaruga (I only own those 5 Gamecube games) Although, now that it is on XBLA, I sorta wish I had held out for that version of Ikaruga. Oh, That seems like a nice li..... waaaaaaiiiiit a second.......

| From the GameCube games I've played, these would be my top 5 (not in order): 1. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (+ OoT bonus disc) 2. Super Mario Sunshine 3. Metroid Prime 4. Super Smash Bros. Melee 5. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess I actually found it quite difficult to compose that list, simply because I only consider one or two of them to be AAA titles. In the not-so-distant future I want to experiece both Pikmins, Tales of Symphonia, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Luigi's Mansion, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Resident Evil Zero and some more. |

| Do you like my helmet? | Since my Path of Radiance cheerfest is only getting counted once, I might as well put in props for my honourable mentions: 6 (2). The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker 7 (3). The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 8 (4). Skies of Arcadia Legends 9 (5). Super Smash Bros. Melee |

| Hmm....top 5 gamecube titles....that's a tough one. Well, discounting the OOT bonus disc since it's really an N64 game, I'd have to say: -Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker -Super Smash Bros. Melee -Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door -Animal Crossing -Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 Honorable mentions: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Kirby Air Ride, James Bond 007: Nightfire, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Tales of Symphonia |

On a side note, I'm going to play Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. I bought it late in the life span of the cube and played it for a couple hours before I stoped to play other games on the Wii. I always heard it was a great game but I never played it for more then 1-2 hours. Last edited by dk_xcalibur; 21st August 2008 at 07:23 PM.

| Yeah, I noticed. And I didn't look at your list until after I posted mine. Maybe this means I should track down Fire Emblem since our tastes appear to be so similar. |

| Discounting compilations (Zelda collectors, Midway Arcade Treasures...) 1. Resident Evil 4 2. Paper Mario TTYD 3. Resident Evil 1 remake 4. hmmmm... Metroid Prime? 5. Geez... Did I already say Resident Evil 4? Yes? Oh..... Soul Calibur 2 with Link! (although I preferred SC3 on PS2) I don't have a lot of fond memories of Gamecube. Didn't really get into it so much. Link Windwaker didn't do it for me, Mario Sunshine sucked (IMO), Metroid Prime games were OK, Pikmin didn't do it for me, I don't like Smash Bros, Luigi's Mansion was OK at best, Waverace was worse than on 64. |

| Killer7 being a gem is sort of a... contreversial statement (I haven't made by decision on the topic myself, seeing as how I don't own it). I still probably wouldn't call it a gem of the Gamecube (READ MY REASON) because it is on the PS2 also, so it's not really a Gamecube gem. |

| I guess, but it's not really an exclusive. |
| | |
| | #32 |
| Do you like my helmet? | I'd say it's alright to include it anyway. It's perfectly fair for the best GCN games also to exist on other systems. |

| True, I was just stating an opinion about the game, Killer7. |

Title of the thread states "gamecube games", though. Nothing about it being exclusive. As of right now, Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 are no longer Gamecube exclusives either, but I'm not about to take them off my list.

And I guess, according to Nintendo's conference today, they'll be remaking a ton of GC games for Wii. Exclusivity Fail!
