Default What GC Game Are You Playing Right Now?

I missed out on the cube so the Wii is a great opportunity to play some of the gems I missed out on.
I just got Metroid Prime in the mail (I have MP3 on Wii but I'm going to play through this one first.
So far its great! I'm a huge fan of the 2D Metroids and I've been kind of wary about playing these new 3D ones since I wasn't a huge fan of Hunters. However this is turning my opinion around!

Also I got Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes and Starfox Adventures lined up

So my question is to you guys, what GC games are you playing/replaying right now?

I'm like you; I never had a GCN, so the Wii is my chance to go back and get some of the gems that I missed. I'm not playing any right now because of Brawl, but just before Brawl was released I played through Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. Brilliant tactical RPG. I also snagged copies of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and Skies of Arcadia Legends for play later on sometime.

Wind Waker is def on my list of games to get, I loved Phantom Hourglass and WW is the only big Zelda I haven't played yet. I was thinking about getting the Fire Emblem for Wii but after hearing how un-noob-friendly it is, I'm going to wait for the DS remake of the original, slated for later this year (hopefully).

I'm also thinking of grabbing the Resident Evil 1 remake! However its kind of pricey wherever I'm looking.

You heard wrong about Fire Emblem! Just play on Easy and it'll be a breeze. The un-n00b-friendliness was probably on account of no in-battle saves, but you don't really need them if you're playing on Easy mode anyway. Plus you'd be missing out on a great story. The game will guide you through the mechanics well enough. It would only be too hard if you suck.

I'm looking forward to the DS FE as well, but if it comes to Japan later this year, I suspect we'll have to wait another few months on top of that for the localization.

just picked up copies of Wind Waker ($35) and the Resident Evil 1 remake ($20)

Metroid Prime is SIIIIICK, sooo much better than MP3 IMO. Can't wait to try out MP2

Wind Waker - Started slightly after Christmas, haven't played for a while.

Ikaruga - Hard as nails, but so gratifying

Super Mario Sunshine - I haven't played it yet, even though I got it around Christmas. I hope to play it after getting through Galaxy.

Games I want to play: Pretty much all of the Resident Evil Remakes. But I hope they come to Wii, with Resident Evil 4 controls.

Ikaruga - perfecting chapter 3 and learning chapter 4 in slow mode

Fire Emblem - want to finish this before getting Radiant Dawn

Yesterday, I bought Odama and PN03 but I don't know when I'll
get round to playing them, though!

I'm pretty sure Pikmin 2 is the only Gamecube game I've played. Good stuff, though.

Yes. Great game.

I'm not up to Wind Waker in my Zelda-in-order quest yet, so I've been playing Skies of Arcadia Legends on and off (while I'm not busy with Wii and DS games... and real life).

MP3 is waaaaay too shooter intensive for me, same with MPH

MP1 is the best IMO, haven't tried MP2

Wario World. Another Treasure game. It's alright. It's fun to play, but it feels like a task to play more than one level at a time. Also, I'm thinking of picking up Pikmin 2 again soon.

Really, I have a ton of games I want to play, but schoolwork is taking up most of my life, and my social life is kind of sprawling now, so there really isn't any time for video games, and when there is, it's mostly trying to get all the trophies in Brawl.

Killer 7.

I just love this weird little game. It's got such a great atmosphere, stylish visuals, interesting gameplay, intense shooting action, intriguing story...what's not to love? ^^

Right now I'm playing Paper Mario - The Thousand Year Door. This game is a lot of fun, 16 bucks well spent I also bought Starfox: Assault and Turok: Evolution brand new for 13 bucks combined. I haven't played them yet but I will after Paper Mario.

I'm not playing anything right this second, but the last one I was playing was Killer 7. I need to go back and beat FE: PoR and Eternal Darkness though...and Baten Kaitos.

I got to the third to last level of Path of Radiance and then just stopped. I should finish what I started.

You definitely should, especially since finishing those three levels will mean you can import your data into Radiant Dawn.

Eeee...I don't know if I will end up getting Radiant Dawn. I'm kind of preoccupied with other games right now, and if I buy anything new (not likely, at least for a while), it will be Okami.

I'm currently playing Virtua Quest, a game I couldn't find much information about even though it's in the Virtua series and (supposedly) developed by Sega AM2. I wanted to try it for myself to see why it wasn't more popular, so I bought it cheaply. It's an action/adventure/platform game with some RPG elements, a bit like Shenmue or Yakuza but not quite the same (and not as good!). If AM2 did develop it (I'm having some doubts because their name isn't on the box) it's not up to the usual standard from them, but it is growing on me the more I play so I'll let you know what I think when I've finished it. Has anyone played or heard of it?

Animal Crossing
( Waiting for Wii release )

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
( I started playing this again hoping to beat it before I decided to buy Radiant Dawn but I ended up buying Radiant Dawn on an impusle buy one day when I was at the mall. So now I am slowly going back and forth between the two. )

Ditto! So far I have clocked up 118 hours- all games should have that
feature... I wonder if it is the longest amount of time I have devoted
to a game. How far can you get on a single credit? I'm currently reaching
Chapter 4-2 but it gets way too complicated inside the core with all the
lasers and whatnot!

Given the upcoming Wii drought, I think I should start on some of the
GC games I bought at Christmas(!)... probably Pikmin 2 and Skies of Arcadia.

I just beat trial mode on 1 credit. Last week I beat up level 3 on one credit, but it was my first time seeing level three, so I couldn't progress any further. Still, I'm chipping away at it.
