Skies of Arcadia Legends is very good. I haven't played any other Gamecube RPGs but there are a few more I want to play.

I'm pretty sure there is a game called Baten Kaitos or something like that that is an RPG for the Cube.

I want to play Baten Kaitos, I already own it but don't have the time to play it yet, it's meant to be very long. Also there's the prequal Baten Kaitos Origins. And I'd like to try Tales of Symphonia, that's an RPG but I don't know anything about it.

The best RPG's for Gamecube

1. Paper Mario

2. Skies of Arcadia Legends

3. Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II

4. Tales of Symphonia

5. Summoner 2: A Goddess Reborn

I think Baten Kaitos and Evolution Worlds could be a lot better. They were boring. Before wasting money on Baten Kaitos, I highly recommend Skies of Arcadia Legends!!

Seconded on the Skies of Arcadia front, it's great. Tales of Symphonia will last you ages, and Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door is great fun. Those are the only 'Cube RPGs I have. Sadly, the GC didn't have a lot of RPGs.

Tales of Symphonia felt short in my opinion, and voice acting and animations wasn't really good. Same animation for both talking and shouting ain't so good :/

And the last boss is a piece of cake.

I highly recommend you buy Tales of Symphonia. I originally rented it, and I could NOT PUT IT DOWN. So then when I had to return it I was devistated so I went on a long and mosty dissapointing search until I finally found a copy. It's loooong, the cel-shading is pretty nice, and the music can be pretty entertaining. The battle engine is pretty weird, you can't really move around freely, its only back and forth onless you stop completely, but that doesn't really take away from it. I hit the enemies 99% of the time whichever direction I went in. What I like about it though is how customizable characters can be, special moves, weapons armor etc., outfits, your party lineup in general. It still works out to be a nice game that can take up a lot of your time. It's pretty easy if you have the patience to train a little, with the exception of sidequests which can get decently hard. Definitely worth getting though.

I myself was a little dissapointed with baten kaitos. Battles feel like too much a burden at times to even deal with, and its wayyyy to easy to end up healing your enemy. Also leveling up is annoying because you cannot do it while you are in a dungeon... but otherwise the storyline is pretty deep though so I enjoy that, as well as the evolution of magnus. But hey, for ten dollars i think it was worth it. Yay for cheap gamecube games.

I didn't realise this was released on the gamecube. I had both games on the Ps2 and they are easily my favourite console RPGs. I love the fact that in Summoner 2 you turn into the creatures rather than summoning them to do your bidding. Excellent story to this game too I'd imagine this can be picked up second hand extremly cheaply so if you see don't hesitate to buy it.

I thought Megaman X: Command Mission was a good GC rpg before I had to sell it. It might be hard to find now though...I've been trying to get it back for ages!

Friend of mine told me it felt too much like any other MM game which annoyed him; I don't know why. I think it was also a bit short, but he liked it anyway and does tell me to get it sometime. I might, eventually.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is worth a play. It's a fantastic tactical-RPG with a great storyline, some cool characters, and what I think is a wonderful gameplay system (tons of party formation options, lots of different characters/units to choose from, difficulty settings, etc.).

I never had a GameCube but I'm starting to look for good GC games now that I have my Wii. I'll have to look around for some of the other titles mentioned here.

This (summoner) caught my eye because the thing I liked best about Final Fantasy 7 and 8 were the summons, I'll definitely look for rhis one..
still playin Baten Kaitos Origins, its a pretty good game but some things i dislike about the card command system...

You need Tales of Symphonia without a doubt. It is by far one of the best RPGs ever made. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is good but nowhere near as good as Radiant Dawn or the GBA games (Fire Emblem, sacred Stones, and Sealed Sword)

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, most definitely.

And if you want an RPG that's a bit different, try out Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life.

How much did you end up paying for Skies of Arcadia, Flamin? I just snagged a copy on eBay for $20, but it hasn't come yet. I was looking around in shops with no luck. I have a feeling they'd be more expensive in store, but less sketchy...

Always the far away towns that have the rare stuff. Saw a fair few Saturn and DC games in a Gamestation in Canterbury a month ago (About 30-50 mins on the train)

Default wow

I will be totally honest. I somehow found my way to this site and read about the gamecube RPGs. I read four pages worth and didn't see Lost Kingdoms or Lost Kingdoms II.

I signed up for an account on here just to voice this game. It's an Action, card based RPG. their both really good and you should read some reviews on them. If you decide to pick them up play LK before LK2 so you can transfer your card collection over.

Oh and btw, i made a youtube video from the two games if you wanna check it out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=jnkVNyh7nVA

Yeah, I was just about to mention those! I remember renting the first one a while back and while I don't remember much, it was at least a decent RPG.
