Underrated:
The Simpsons: Hit & Run (great free-roaming game that's not rated M)
Star Fox Assault (Very, very good game. I wish I had this instead of Adventures. Multiplayer is greatly improved in this game from 64)

Overrated:
F-Zero GX (maybe I just can't get into it, but I don't really like it)

Hm, that's all I can think of ATM. I'm sure there's more but that might have to wait until somebody else's list reminds me.

Last edited by Tides of Chaos; 13th September 2009 at 04:18 AM. Reason: Meant to say Hit & Run instead of Road Rage

Underrated
Crazy Taxi (the game Simpson's Road Rage ripped off of ;no offense to that game)
Fire Emblem Path Of Radiance (one of the greatest games of all time)
Mega Man Network Transmission (not good, but not total crap as some critics say)
Tales Of Symphonia (a damn fine game)

Overrated
Mario Party 7 (a 5.7 is too good for this game)

Under:

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - Fantastic game. Probably doesn't/didn't get as much commercial attention because of genre or whatever rather than being critically underrated, but here it is.

And because of this, it's now rare so not many people can play it today ...Kinda like the SMT games (except I'm missing out on those).

Damn, yet another now-rare game I need to scour Amazon for.

Underrated

Bomberman Generation
The Simpsons Road Rage
The Simpsons Hit and Run
Mega Man X: Command Mission (despite the terrible story, which isn't a very good thing to have in an RPG.)

Overrated

Timesplitters 2
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II
Super Mario Sunshine

Yeah. The Space Combat stages are superbs and the ground stages are very good too, especially when you can use the Landmaster. And the orchestrated soundtrack... ahhh... itīs amazing.

I make this video of me playing the 1st mission:

Why the Time Splitters 2 hate?

PS I'm surprised that the Simpsons games are showing up here. Road Rage was a mediocre Crazy Taxi clone, and I did not take to Hit And Run (personally speaking).

Oh whoop, you're right about Road Rage being a lame Crazy Taxi clone, I need to edit my post! I meant to say Hit & Run was underrated.

I forgot to mention the Mario Party titles. Honestly after the 3rd on on the N64, the series just got duller and yet they sold quite well. Bah.

The 2nd one was the only good one IMM (In My Memory). The first had too many of those annoying Joystick Circles mini games, and wasn't the third one JUST minigames?...Or maybe not. I really don't member

No the third one was with an "RPG" mode.

Ah yeah, I kinda hated that tug of war in Mario Party. Although I reckon the first Mario Party was the best, because you could unlock more stuff.

Well, they wouldn't exactly be overrated though as I'm pretty sure most critics hated them too.

Although I initially put down GEIST as being underappreciated, after reading the awful scores it got in reviews, I have to mention that I think its probably the one of the most underrated GC games out there.

I ignored it due to the poor things I'd heard abotu it at launch but picked it up cheap to play on the Wii. Sure the graphics may not have been at the very top level but I found an intersting, entertaining and very well scripted slice of entertainment. The multiplayer looked good too although I never got to try it properly other than against bots.

I genuinelly enjoyed this game from start to finish and couldn't stop playing it. I'd love to see a Wii sequel or a NPC release that might open it up to a bigger market.

Definately an 8 or 9 out of ten in my book.

No. It's a fairly easy and not particulary special platform game. I was very disappointed in the new play control version.

Ok. I think about picking up the Wii version, some day, because I don´t like the idea of getting into drumming bongos.

Well rated: Starfox Adventures.

Mostly because it was not your every day Starfox game, this game had enough to offer for a platform adventure, though it was a bit short sided. It mostly got around 8/10 which is ok.
I still recommend this game to everyone who likes Starfox/Nintendo/platform adventures. It wont dissapoint you.
